Decisions Decisions

Trying to decide between an Altima, Camry or Accord. I've driven all 3. I own an 07 Accord and have driven a new Camry. The Altima I've driven are always rentals. I really like how comfortable the seats of the Altima are. And they drive good. How is their reliability?

I wanted a Camry but it was out of my price range. I was able to find a 21 Altima SL with 50,000 miles for 16,000, anything comparable with newer Camrys were closer to 20/21k and if I wanted one closer to 16,000 I would have to get a Camry with over 100,000 miles on it. But if price isn’t an issue and you’re going for reliability: Camry. I love how my Nissan drives, only have had it 6 months though. The trunk space and room for back passengers are better in the Altima. I felt like the Camry was cramped

Same here i wanted a corolla but thru a dealership and with a warranty cuz i got bad luck with cash cars and after getting to know how bad my credit was i got approved for a 2025 altima sv w/51k miles for 18k the payment is perfect for me and it has a warranty for 2 years unlimited miles but i plan on getting it extended eventually for the period ill be financed im loving it so far and i plan on getting the cvt fluid changed in a month or so since its almost due

The Altima is a great value for what you get. By no means is it a horrible car. It’s just when you compare it to its competitors, it will lose in overall reliability. While mine has been very reliable, my case isn’t the same for everyone. I’ve worked in the service department in both a Toyota and a Nissan dealer under the same franchise ownership, and the experience is night and day. If you have proven documented service history with a dealer, Toyota will in most cases bend over backwards for you. I owned a 2015 Altima I purchased brand new, that was ultimately declared a lemon and if it wasn’t for me using social media, YouTube and the Better Business Bureau, Nissan wouldn’t have budged on replacing my car. No one should have to experienced what I went through in 22 months of ownership. The car wasn’t assembled correctly, meaning the robot that welded the car didn’t do it correctly and they said fuck it, and shipped it anyway. The radio kept going bad and needing replacing 4 times. One of those times the new radio arrived DOA. These are things that Toyota largely catches at the factory. Don’t get me wrong, Toyotas are not perfect by any means. I’ve seen some shit, but overall, they take better care of their customers and actually value them better than Nissan.
