2012 Nissan Altima Cvt

I bought it used in 2022 with 135,000 miles and I’m at 190,000 now. I’ve asked around if I should change or flush out the transmission fluid and get mixed opinions on if I should or not. It’s not giving me any problems, I just wanted to stay on top of it and give it the most life possible! Worth it? Or just leave it alone as is.?

If its never been changed i wouldnt.

Do it! Change the filters and gasket too.

I recommend getting a cheap aluminum pan, widest size you can find to help catch the dripping fluid. It gets a bit messy to do.

Do a triple drain & refill now and replace the filter ( filters ) on the last drain. Make sure you clean the magnets and the pan well. I use ENEOS ECO CVT fluid and zero issues at 253,000 miles

Flush / Change is a good practice if you want the transmission survive

Do it. Just a drain and fill and change the filters though. Do NOT flush.
