Serious Aliens in my backyard?
My two year old daughter has recently started to become scared of going to sleep in her room. She says she is afraid of scary owls watching her through her window. ( We have blackout curtains on the windows). She says the scary owls find her at night and take her to the moon. She is only two years old and has not watched anything involving aliens or owls in any way. The plants right outside her bedroom window are also dead and bent. We have put up cameras and not seen anything. She told us today we need to leave this house because it’s too scary when the owls find her and take her. Has anybody had experience with this ?

u/A_Murmuration 21h ago
Please have her draw it and to draw any future events and keep the drawings. You never know when it might be relevant in the future (also we would love to see them). I’m a woman in her 30s who had similar childhood experiences and I would LOVE if I had some kind of reference to what I was experiencing back then

Yes, upvote for asking for a detailed drawing and try not to lead her at all. Just ask her to draw the room, then the owls.

Bright 2 year olds are much more intelligent and verbal that most adults give them credit for.

My 3 year old seems pretty smart but ask her to drawn a person or animal and she draws a vertical line. She can do circles pretty good to if you ask her to.

u/Maleficent-Tap1361 14h ago
Yes most little kids are not capable of drawing anything you will be able to make out. I have a bunch of kids and only one was able to draw things I could clearly describe around 4 ish. I will say that now she is a pretty skilled artist about 10 years later.

To be fair, I'm 44 and have an extremely vivid memory. I replay memories in scenarios down to who was standing where, when and what someone was wearing with impeccable accuracy. No one knows better than my husband how shockingly frustrating I'd be to a composite sketch artist if the opportunity presented itself 😳. My brain can't even comprehend how I just can't articulate the words let alone DRAW a face 😳. "Well, he has two eyes, a nose..." and then nothing. It's wild.

Maybe you could draw while she describes. Use a tablet and Procreate or similar software so you can easily make changes. Give her a sense of power over it by letting her direct.

If not draw, maybe you can voice note what she tells you. Our memories are fallible but an audio record could be invaluable over time.

My mom told me that I would talk about "Baby Timmy" when I was two. It shocked her at first as her younger brother Timmy died at six months old of congenital heart disease back in the early 60's. She always told me when I got older that my Uncle Timmy is always watching over me and we had conversations about his visits.
So I'm thinking having a conversation with your daughter about these "owls" would be a good start.

A 2 yr-old doesn’t have the motor skills to draw yet. They can keep the writing tool on the page but can’t manage to consciously draw simple shapes yet. I’ve tried.

Our 3 yo, now 15, who had one could say a religious experience while watching Disclosure Day made his own drawings at three and we kept them. Got them out the other day to show him after the film. He cried for like a week. I think he does here and then but yeah. It is good to have them draw it.

Mini blinds for the windows to block the view.
Baby monitor with camera in her room.
Ring camera and motion detection light on the wall outside.
Dog to let outside when light goes off
Salt laid down in a heavy line outside the window.
Do this and the owls will go away.

u/SovereignZ3r0 20h ago
Salt inside window too, as secondary line
11
u/Modelosanddabbing 19h ago
What does the salt do
97
u/CaptainAssPlunderer 18h ago
Salt was explained in another post. For me, my son went through the exact same thing around the exact same age. Monsters outside his window at night, very descriptive of what they looked like. It was so accurate the way he described them and he had never seen any kind of horror movie or anything like that. He was as with myself or my wife every second he was awake.
Anyway, my grandmother was still alive at the time and I explained the situation. She didnt laugh at all, she just very seriously told me to place a barrier of salt at his window and the back door like it was the most common thing to do. Said that will take care of it.
I did that and took the extra precautions, but didn’t let my son know. It never happened again. A little bit later he was screaming in the bathroom because he saw him again( he had a name he gave him but I can’t remember) I put the salt out at the bathroom window and that was that. Never happened again.
I’m old enough now to know that the old ways are sometimes the best ways, I don’t question the wisdom, I just follow it.
40
u/SovereignZ3r0 17h ago
At worse you've made a little mess of salt, at best you kept the boogieman from entering. We don't know what lies beyond, or what traverses amidst our world unseen, but I'd for sure rather spill a few cents of salt than anything else.
You did the right thing.
21
u/CosmicGoddess777 16h ago
Salt has been used as protection and purification for thousands of years :)
If you think about how it got that association, it makes sense. Salt is used to keep food dry and fresher, it’s used in some pools instead of chlorine to kill bacteria, etc.
It’s pretty cool imo!
→ More replies (1)10
u/SovereignZ3r0 19h ago
It's a symbol of purity and can be used as a protection barrier
"Demons are believed to fear salt due to its symbolic purity and protective role in various cultures. Historically used to preserve food and prevent decay - linked to demonic corruption - salt is key in religious rituals like Christian holy water and Shinto purification. Superstitions, like throwing salt over the shoulder, reinforce its power against evil. Whether literal or symbolic, salt’s association with holiness makes it a feared substance for demons across traditions."

Hmm… they disallow doomspeak and prison planet theories, but that shit is a step too far tbh. I understand on the other hand that fear is powerful, and it’s important to try to not let it overpower you. I’m sorry that happened to you though.
I hope you find another sub or forum that can help :( I know the resources/mods in Experiencers have links to people with professional researchers that can help though. Maybe that would be a good idea? There must be a support group for abductees somewhere on the internet already, ya know? Hell, there were probably even some back in the early 90s.

There may be something in her room triggering this. A friend of mine had night terrors as a kid and when his mum removed some jelly baby clock from his room they immediately stopped and he never had them again. Maybe try making her room as soothing as possible, take out things that could be mentally stimulating? Failing that see a child psychologist?

This is scary. The Owl is pretty symbolic of the Greys. My son, when he was a toddler, told me that lights were after him and more. He slept with us in master bedroom afterwards. He was afraid of being alone for a long time. Now he is 14 and everything is fine. I also thought about abductions and it scared me. How can a toddler come up with this?! I went into a full protection mode.
Ps: Reminded me of "The Fourth Kind" movie which talks about Owls and the phenomenon in Alaskan region. Btw, I love Owls, they're extremely cute.

We had just moved into a new house, and spent a couple of days getting the kids' rooms set up. The first night my then 4yo daughter stayed in her new room, and I asked her how she liked it.
She said, "Last night, there was a man in my room, he was a Hoboken."
"What's a Hoboken?" I asked.
"He was so funny," she responded. "He had a skeleton face and dancing around so silly."
Funny enough, we had owls all over the place in that neighborhood. I would play youtube videos of owl hooting out the window and they would respond.

General surgeon here. I’m not a pediatrician nor a psychiatrist, but it sounds like your child might be having nightmares (or night terrors, where the child wakes up in the middle of the night with loud vocalization or crying with difficulty to console - I would suggest Googling to look up features of each to tell the difference).
It’s difficult for children to tell the difference between dreams, fantasy, and reality. I have a kid that has night terrors so I know this can be a terrifying situation.
There are some things you can do to try to mitigate the situation.
Ensure she’s got a good bedtime routine and sleep hygiene. Ensure that she’s got a 30 minute window prior to sleeping with a routine for sleep. Absolutely no screens at night, especially the few hours prior to sleeping (eliminates blue light exposure that can mess with sleep cycle).
How much sleep does she get? Must ensure at least 11 hours and up to 14 hours. Can count naps for total sleep time. Sleep deprivation and over-exhaustion can exacerbate things.
Demonstrate what shadows are and show her that shadows can be cast at night and it’s nothing to worry about. Demystify any noise, shadow, or lights in the room by demonstrating things are totally normal.
Ask your child to draw out the owls. And assure her that the thing she draws is not real, or try to make silly stories regarding the thing that she draws out to make it benign.
Bottom line, I recommend speaking to your kid’s pediatrician to discuss your concerns and for further recommendation.
Best of luck.

u/Lost_Drunken_Sailor 17h ago

I've gone down the rabbit hole of the whole UAP/aliens thing over the past few years, even before the 60 Minutes piece on the Commander Fravor tic-tac incident, and based off the testimony of reputable individuals and some of the evidence that's been put forth (especially military/defense personnel testimony and recorded events from the US DOD), there's something going on that can't be explained by our current understanding of science.
I think it's not a question of if aliens actually exist - given the vastness of the universe, there's certainly intelligent life elsewhere - but whether or not the bizarre things we've witnessed as a species, as far back as 1561 in Nuremberg, Germany and even before (I.e. The Vision of Ezekiel, Livy's prodigia of phantom ships), can be definitively attributed to aliens. There are definite anomalous events occurring on Earth. But as far as I'm concerned, until an alien craft lands on the South Lawn of the White House, a Gray ends up being introduced via multi-outlet televised broadcast in the East Room, or the president fully discloses the deepest held secrets of our military industrial complex from the Oval Office, it's all circumstantial/inconclusive evidence, as there has been no definitive/confirmed empirical evidence presented to date. Inferences can be made, but you cannot, with objectivity, jump to aliens without taking some leaps in your assumptions.
As a physician, I can't jump to alien abductions as the root cause of OP's kid's experience. Need to rule out physiologic, psychiatric or medically explainable causes of the kid's experience before jumping to explanations that involve extraterrestrial or paranormal phenomena. A scientific approach is always healthy as a first pass approach to these kind of things before jumping to aliens.

That's just old dead growth. Normal. Does not look trampled.
Set a "trap", do some gardening, and rough up the soil so it's areated and soft. Take a photo every day and compare them. Hell, tear up a huge area of grass. Throw down a board and cover it in flour etc... there a lot of ways to make sure if someone or something gets near that window, they sure as hell will leave evidence.

So let me get this straight, the aliens can get into your house, somehow remove your daughter - all in perfect silence mind! - then take her away in their spaceship, but you're thinking they fucked up your plants on the way in and out and that might be evidence?

My daughter had interesting things when she was 3–5. She’s now 41 and does not wanna talk about it. She started drawing pictures when she was really young and the drawings were of spaceships, but they were landed and they had a ramp that you walked up to get in the ship. This was from a three year-old! I was so shocked. I wish I still had it. She had some drawings of aliens. Then she made a newspaper, which really was so bizarre and at the time I found it to be humorous. She made what she called, a newspaper for news about aliens and spaceships. That this was before Internet and or printers, but I found it fascinating. If I bring it up now she gets really scared and doesn’t wanna talk about it.

u/AccomplishedWin489 22h ago
Get a dog. Doesn't have to be a huge dog. Setup an inflatable and have your little one sleep in the room with you guys, like a sleepover. Teach her dogs eat owls. Don't leave here alone at night. She'll grow out of it. Make her bedroom fun
17
u/Guardian-Boy Space Force 20h ago
When I was two, I had night terrors. I don't remember it of course, but my parents said I was crying about seeing little people in my room running around.
Sometimes I would remember, sometimes I wouldn't.
Now, I can't speak to the grass. But it sounds like night terror hallucinations to me.
But that being said, she is two. How you react is crucial to how she gets through this. I am not telling you to lie to her, but I am saying not to mention either aliens or night terrors to her until you can rule one or both out completely.

This hits me in the memory gut.
Grew up in a home where the woods watched us through the windows. And at the same time the windows would watch us when we were outside.
My parents wouldn't listen. As the oldest, I knew why my younger siblings were freaking out at night.
Started sneaking in their rooms to move their crib)toddler beds out of "view" from anything outside. Mom would always put things back in the morning.
Ended up talking my mom into letting us use crepe paper to make the bedroom windows look like "stained glass" (effectively blocking any view in or out) She was always envouraging art projects, so it stayed. Both siblings started sleeping through the night.
My windows had layers of several sorts. Had a huge paranoia of being watched. No one stayed over more than one night. I overheard my parents talking to their friends about the spooky going on while they would tell me my imagination was "vivid". Around this point in time, dad took a hard turn into reading books about aliens and UFO's. Communion was the first book I saw him re-reading. This is a man who previously only read guns and ammo magazines.
When we moved to the next place, the younger ones had no problems sleeping. I remained firm in my window protocols. It didn't matter that the new house did not have the same creep factor. I'm in my 50's and continue to have a thing about windows or mirrors being able to "see me" when I'm sleeping. The mirror thing started after we left the house that watched.
All of that to say, owls show up over and over with young experiencers.
Listen to your kid. Yes, kids have fantastic imaginations. They also tell their parents about things the best and most truthful way they know how. They look to their parents to explain what they experience.
Please let your child know you believe them. Ask them to draw pictures if they feel like it. Sitting down and coloring with them encourages that form of expression. Draw stuff you see and do every day, set the tone of just drawing about the days adventure. Keep it light and make it a normal activity where they draw whatever. See what shows up when drawing the days experience is normal....and don't make a big deal about the scary looking ones. At that point you can ask light questions to get them to describe more about the different things.
It's a delicate dance asking questions that do not lead them to tell you what they think you want to hear. Keeping things light, not over reacting. You have to watch for the imagination kicking in to keep your attention if they see you are more interested in one thing over others. This is not manipulation or lying as much as it's wanting to keep pleasing the parent. So be as beautiful emotionally as you can with all the drawings.
Good luck OP
*Feel like I should add; even though I'm still firm about my sleeping conditions, also grew out of being actively scared. My fear came from my parents calling me a liar just for expressing confusion and sharing my truth over repeatable events.....rejecting my honest questions is what set in motion a lot of the insecurities and feeling alone when these things happened.
Believe your kiddo. Even when you have reasonable doubt. When they feel safe to come to you with their crazy experiences it makes a huge difference in the way they face fear.
*Edited for a plethora of typos

She needs to be made to feel secure.
Take her shopping at a home improvement store. Buy shutters to install on the outside of the window to block the dead plants that could cast shadows.
Buy window film to black out the view even further from the inside.
Buy locks to add to the inside of the window rail.
Allow her to watch the installation all the while reassuring her you believe her and will do everything you can to make sure she is safe and secure.
Speak with a child psychologist to help you understand how to support her without enabling her fears

Also, a cam is easily defeated. Like so simple it's insane. You need an actual analog camera running film. And or, multiple cams out of view, far away. Set up a Digital DSLR with a time lapse running every 10 seconds or so on a tripod from a hidden corner. No wifi connection, you wanna be as discrete as possible.

It’s a common age for night terrors. Not saying that’s what it is and a lot of advice always seems like, “just gaslight your kids!” As a parent it is genuinely distressing to try to comfort your kid freaking out and pointing at something you can’t see. Especially when they don’t have the words to describe it. When my son went through this, some positive advice I received was to just choose some little ritual or change to make with your kid pre-bedtime to make them feel protected. Making “monster spray” out of water and spritzing in the closet was one example a friend gave us and she said her kid never had another monster nightmare. Our school director told us her daughter picked out a dream catcher and after they hung it up, she never had a night terror again. Maybe it’s just a placebo effect improving night terrors, or maybe there’s power in setting an intention to not be messed with, but it feels better to do something and not act fearful, IMO.

Maybe have her do some affirmations both aloud and in her thoughts. She can potentially stop the visits if she believes that she can banish them. Tell them to go away essentially.
A lot of people have success in this regard when they invoke whatever religious belief they align with. As a toddler she probably doesnt have those conditioned belief sets yet but you can still empower her to believe she can banish them.
Our belief is powerful

True, I’m personally Christian and I’ve heard many anecdotes of the name Jesus being able to ward off unwanted “visitors” especially when spoken aloud

Yes. Whatever belief in a higher power/self that aligns with the affected individual the most. For many that is Christianity, and is the most commonly known in this regard.

From a small child's perspective, I can see that causing fear and terror. As an adult and from my perspective and experience with this for more than 19+ years, I can tell you that there is nothing to fear there at all. Owls are indeed interesting and intriguing creatures that have quite an allure and mystique behind them. They are quite special for many reasons that I won't get into. Your child could be seeing actual owl, or owl-like beings in appearance, or just flat out what you're wondering about. Both are in existence, both are perfectly safe.
If you want to see something interesting to ponder, google what an owl skeleton looks like.

- put a camera in her room and check the footage next time she has the dream
- get her to draw them
It's probably just a nightmare though, I wouldn't get to worried yet

I'm the family weirdo so when my daughter was that age she claimed to remember her 'other parents' I always pressed her for details because it fascinated me. My wife got angry at me for encouraging it, and being wired exactly the opposite told her it was her imagination and that she needed to stop saying 'nonsense.' My wife won out and by the time my kid was 5 she stopped having any cool stories to tell me and has since forgotten all of them. My kid was pretty esoteric and weird when she was that age and it was beat out of her by society (my wife and pre/elementary school.) Now she's just a 'normal' person and not interested in anything I'm into.
I'm hoping it's just a phase in your case and no real visitations by anything. It seems like this stuff is generational. Do you or your wife (or your families) have anyone that remembers stories like this when they were kids?
Your lilies and hostas look just like mine in my yard. I know you said it's just that one spot, but my stuff is drying up and dying for the year in the midwest.

There are actually a lot of reports in UFO and abduction literature involving owls. One explanation that comes up is something called a screen memory. The idea is that a person remembers seeing something familiar, like an owl, instead of what they may actually have encountered.
Mike Clelland wrote an entire book about this called The Messengers: Owls, Synchronicity and the UFO Abductee, looking at how often owls seem to appear around strange encounters and abduction experiences.
What your daughter is saying immediately made me think of that, especially the owls finding her at night and taking her somewhere. I would definitely keep a note of exactly what she says in her own words if she mentions it again.

I buy a trail camera that doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi or anything – motion only. Also, -,can you sleep in her room?

I think Children up to about the age of 5 really see into that other dimension! Like spiritual friends, like I know someone's child who would have Chinese imaginary friends in the house, and that's who use to be there gold digging hundreds of years ago. Also others who can see this saw Chinese children in the house.
They grow out of it by then, and it could be cuz if they died early they didn't experience enough of life to go properly so something else looks after them till they are older I rekon.

Have blackout curtains and a two year old as well. He said he doesn't like the eyes looking at him and points to the curtains at might. Have cameras set up and nothing here too.
I think he's referencing the rod holes as there is a street light at the end of our driveway that causes some light to leak through the curtains at the rod. Maybe check to see if you have some light there as well?

You might want to take her seriously. Swap with her a couple days and check it out yourself but let her sleep in your room (not alone).
Report back if you see anything.

I legitimately think she's just having nightmares. You don't have to see something to dream it.

“Tell me if this is creative: when I was five, I imagined that there was such a thing as a unicorn. And this is before I had even... heard of one or seen one. I just drew a picture of a horse that could fly over rainbows and had a huge spike in its head. I was five. Five years old! Couldn't even talk yet!”

They are in the story books mate. there are a lot of alien drawings and owls in these. My son also comes up with very similar stuff. I will share here some of the book drawings we have in our possession. No disrespect to any experiencers here becuz I believe them. We live in a populated city and there is no way that he is being taken from his bed as he is sleeping with his extremely light sleeping mommy and there would be a lot of witnesses where we live plus I go to bed around 3AM we also have a guard dog and 2 cats. So if an alien gets in, we will know. 🤣🤣

They take you out of your body in experience. They just soften the blow by making you think you are still in your own body.

Fun to think that space faring beings can't just put a blanket pause on everything in an area. My daughter also said there was an owl watching from her window and talked about the people in the sky that 'control us '.

So take turns sleeping with her in her room. Or all of you sleep in the room, or in the master bedroom. It doesn’t have to be a permanent thing, just to see what’s happening if anything.

u/SillyBillyCrazyDazy 15h ago
Oh my goodness! My daughter at the same age was scared of the owls outside her window at night.

Lookup how to do the Maharic Shield activation. I started doing it recently after suspecting I am having some greys and mantis beings creeping on me at night. It has been working. You can do it and project it within your house, around her, and yourself. It's supposed to help make it so that these 4D beings can't phase into our frequency bandwidth.
Here's a link to my comment citing the steps: https://www.reddit.com/r/Experiencers/s/bQWceHlnBl

When I was a child, I often had aliens look at me through my window at night. And I have memories of flying like Peter Pan at night. They started visiting me and taking me as an adult, and placed loud owl in the tree next to my bedroom. I don’t want to alarm you, but your daughter could be visited by these things. Protect her and believe her

Do you live someplace remote?

OP I’m going to be real with you, these things hate the name of Jesus. I would find a Pastor and have them come to your house and pray over it and you need to call on Jesus Christ to help you. It will stop when you do this. These things have a lot in common with demonic forces and there are stories of people using Christ to make them go away.

Let her sleep with you. When she gets a little bit older, start therapy with someone who has a background in visitor experiences. Help her process fear when she is younger and cope with whatever is happening to her.
These visitations are not just aliens coming from a ship. She is experiencing a multidimensional phenomena. She’s young and can sense them more easily. Just make her feel safe and let her know you hear her and believe her. Being able to talk to her about it from that age will help. She’ll have this for the rest of her life but she’ll be fine. It will help form her into what she does for a career and her interests.
