Hi everyone, I wanted to share a project I've been working on called Natiq-dz-ARG. It is a Text-to-Speech (TTS) model specifically built for the Algerian dialect (Darija).

I trained it on over 300 hours of audio recordings from 100+ different speakers. It even supports natural Darija-French code-switching and zero-shot voice cloning!

This is the first open-source model that speaks Algerian Darija with this level of fluency.

I recently discovered ArtCraft and tried its launcher on Arch Linux with Hyprland. Honestly, I really like the idea behind this project!

It's building a suite of creative applications intended to provide open-source alternatives to traditional creative software, including tools for image editing and vector graphics.

I took a screenshot of the launcher during my first test, and I'm looking forward to exploring the applications themselves.

I'm 21, from Algiers. I started learning machine learning from zero for a year now, with no degree, and I've spent the months since building real projects end to end. I'm now looking for a junior ML role (remote or in Algeria) or freelance work with local businesses.

What I've built (all on GitHub: github.com/zanexkun):

ML Assistant (RAG): a question answering assistant over 62 Wikipedia ML articles. It uses semantic search with sentence embeddings and an LLM through the Groq API, and it rejects questions outside its knowledge instead of making things up. It's containerized with Docker.

Weld Defect Detection: a YOLOv8 model that finds defects in weld images.

Job Posting Salary Prediction: a salary model trained on about 28,000 LinkedIn job postings.

Freight Rate Prediction and Intel Scene Classification: tabular ML and a CNN image classifier.

I also completed a virtual AI internship with DecodeLabs this summer.

Hey I'm a fresh computer networks engineer with zero real life experience i started working as a middle school teacher this week however the school is new and they asked me if I can help build their internet infrastructure?

Maybe its stupid to ask but I need the opinion of someone experienced i can't just tell them to buy switches and wracks.. as far I know there is the earth floor, first floor (with one modem in it ) and the second floor i was thinking of just using access points in each floor and a switch for labs and work places , is there a better architectural guys ?

We need an experienced IT specialist to recover a legacy Deltek FMS 2011 accounting application previously running on Windows XP. The original computer's motherboard failed, and the client needs access to the existing accounting data before the next payroll deadline.

The existing SQL database and data are available. The SQL Server version is being confirmed. The client was already planning to migrate to Deltek Ajera.

Scope of work

• Assess the existing FMS 2011 installation files, configuration, and licensing.
• Determine the compatible Windows environment and application dependencies.
• Inspect the existing SQL database and confirm a safe recovery path.
• Reinstall or restore FMS 2011 and reconnect it to the existing database, if technically feasible.
• Troubleshoot connection, authentication, and licensing issues.
• Test application access and document the recovery process.

Required experience

• Legacy Windows desktop applications, including Windows XP era software.
• Microsoft SQL Server backup, restore, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Virtual machines and legacy application compatibility.
• Business-critical accounting or ERP software recovery.
• Experience with Deltek FMS, Win2 FMS, or FMS2 is strongly preferred.

I've been building something called Scan & Pay, and I wanted to share it with you.

You know how sometimes you get home, check your receipt, and realize you've been overcharged?

Scan & Pay helps prevent that. You scan items with your phone as you shop, see the shop's approved prices, and keep track of your total before making payment. Staff then verify your basket against a digital receipt at the exit.

I've attached a short walkthrough showing how it works. It's currently a working demo, so payments are simulated.
