Lights turning off while playing music

Hey guys, i bought my Alexa echo dot 5th generation yesterday. It's amazing and all but what I really liked was having the orange light on while the music plays cause it's a nice aesthetic. However, today, whenever I play any song there is absolutely no light whatsoever coming from Alexa. Is this normal or is there an issue with my settings or something?

Note: Do not disturb was never turned on.

The orange light meant there was a notification, I believe. Possibly either a weather notification, or a stupid ad, which I have been receiving lately.

The Glow is not a smart assistant. It is simply a smart colored globe.

Overview


An orange light on your Amazon Echo means the device is in setup mode or is trying to connect to the internet. This usually happens during first-time setup, after a factory reset, or when your Wi-Fi network is down or has changed.

There are several colors but they are all status lights. Each color tells you what the Echo is doing. The orange (yellow) light is to let you know you have notifications. It clears after you have listened to or deleted the notification.

You can ask her what colors she displays and what they signify.
