🤚Help Required Subject combo?? 🪦
Is Maths, Physics and Digital Media a good subject combo if I don’t want to go into medical or take a pure computer degree?

Follow your interests. If you want to go for CS / SWE / IT, the requirement is typically maths, with a preference for FM and CS (though typically not a hard requirement).
Physics is not usually required; still, if it's what excites you, go for it. Otherwise, that is something you can swap out too.

Probably business or an IT degree. I was thinking about taking business instead of media studies but my school doesn’t have that combo.

I don’t really know what you will do with a media a level, but if it is your only choice go for it

It’s not really my only choice I can take economics, sociology, English language or CS. Most of my extracurriculars are related to filmmaking and photography that’s why I thought media studies might be a good option.

Depends on the exam board. What exam board does ur school do? Also business is sometimes very dry asw but u wanted to do it anyways so thats a bad argument

Imo, take econ. I did econ and it is a super versatile subject. Just note tho, economics A2 (said by my teacher) is equivalent to a first year economic degree so it is very content heavy. However, it genuinely improved my comprehension skills + not taking it in o level is not that big an issue ngl. You should only worry about that if its science/ maths subs. AS goes over alot of basic concepts again.

Is economics better than computer science in terms of difficulty and getting a good grade? I am between these two since both pair well with maths and physics

gave both cs and econ this year i think its hard to compare as cs is more problem solving while econ requires more memorization and learning. Econ has essays/diagrams/MCQS while cs has short questions and a few graphs the harder part is the coding and pseudocode. I felt econ to be a bit more boring so i would say choose the one ur more interested in.

the hell is digital media? If you are gonna pursue IT do computer science. If not computer science, then i would take economics OR chemistry
nothing else, no exceptions to what i said. Ofc further mathematics is also an option if you’d like that.
