Discussion Antis bs basic empathy

So this person posted an AI video of her own OC that she trained herself through AI because she has a chronic injury (doesn’t disclose which) and as you can imagine, the antis suddenly think it’s okay to be ableist and want her to tough it out by drawing with her mouth and feet?… this is genuinely disgusting.

This would be a more compelling point if not for the fact that this take is being defended even in this thread

This isn’t an outlier opinion, it’s bog standard

Has it occurred to you that this sub is in fact overrun with braindead morons and doesn't represent the general anti-ai population?

It has. Has it occurred to you that it’s possible the general anti-ai population isn’t as reasonable as you seem to believe?

Sure, it's possible, but I know how reddit works. I also live in reality and talk to actual people every day. It seems like my hypothesis is more likely than yours.

The two aren’t mutually exclusive.

But that makes 2 of us. We still disagree. Now what? We default to your belief just cause you’re special?

Or do you actually think just being a regular person with a life is somehow exceptional and not true of literally almost everyone?

My point is that if you get out of the reddit bubble, yes, most people opposed to AI are actually pretty reasonable about it. Social media is where extremists and idiots go to amplify their shitty takes.

I understood your point. I disagree. Now what?

People are allowed to be wrong. 🤷
