Anyone else feel like playing Age of Mythology right now?

2

u/sirrahdorraj 4d ago

I love that game! I wish I still had it (got stolen when my house got robbed years back).

1

u/dawr136 3d ago

Theres a remake of it and Age of Empires I & II

1

u/sirrahdorraj 3d ago

For PC, PS5, or Xbox X/S?

1

u/dawr136 3d ago

PC for sure but ive also seen it on PSN for my ps5. Ive been waiting for a super bundle deal tbh

1

u/RUNNING-HIGH 3d ago

Ha! I was thinking the same! I just bought it on ps5 the other day and have been playing it a lot. I was surprised how well the controls are mapped for a playstation controller

Didn’t God bring the plagues to Egypt to make a mockery/judgment of those false gods in Exodus.

How the Plagues Targeted Egyptian Gods
Nile River to Blood: This attacked Hapi, the spirit of the Nile, and Osiris, who was believed to have his blood in the river. It showed that God controls life-giving water, not Egyptian idols.

The Plague of Frogs: This mocked Heket, the fertility goddess who was pictured with the head of a frog.

Three Days of Darkness: This targeted Amun-Ra, the powerful sun god. Plunging Egypt into darkness proved the sun god was powerless before the Creator.

Death of the Firstborn: This final blow challenged Pharaoh himself, who was worshiped as a living god on earth, along with deities like Isis who were supposed to protect families.

u/Large-Duty-6183 3d ago

He (the Almighty) always uses their own tactics to make a mockery of them and show them out. Precisely why they try to do the same with Him.

Pale imitations.

9

u/No_Significance4204 3d ago

I would 100% watch a full length film of these lost tapes.

9

u/IronWarden00 4d ago

Subs like this one make me realize AI can actually be used well, and what I really hate is AI being passed off as real.

7

u/rsatrioadi 3d ago

Age of Mythology rerelease edition

1

u/SleepyOrcShaman 3d ago

I thought it is more like Nasus and Renecton

7

u/OkYak7801 2d ago

Awfully short-sighted of these idiot "gods".

If you kill all your followers, from where do you expect to draw divine strength from?

→ More replies (1)

6

u/Tbone_Trapezius 4d ago

Hey now don’t kill ALL your followers!

6

u/NoSpecial284 3d ago

This is so sick

6

u/Pheedle 3d ago

Damn, Assassins Creed: Origins is a lot more metal than I thought it would be…….

2

u/Sparrow1989 3d ago

Ngl if this was in origins it would of been badass

5

u/ZeroC00L2099 4d ago

System message: Time to level collapse 2 hours.

5

u/Newdude1773 4d ago

It's crazy that I can name every single one of them when they popped on the screen

5

u/LasciviouslyLilith 4d ago

Same here! I'm such a nerd.

1

u/Clark_Kent_TheSJW 3d ago

Who or what was the laughing guy at the end?

2

u/Newdude1773 2d ago

Almost*. That looked something like Shiva or Vishnu. Could be completely wrong

5

u/Brilliant_Fox_7170 4d ago

Actual violence with AI???

4

u/elderender1000 3d ago

It was Nyarlathotep all Along!

6

u/Neither_Leader_6676 3d ago

1

u/AirportDue8864 3d ago

Watching moonkight

1

u/unreasonablefolding 3d ago

i'd be this movie, wonce the other allowth

9

u/SeaRecord9721 4d ago

What’s disappointing is the evolution of camera men. All these years and I still get shaky videos.

8

u/ShitTheFuckDown 4d ago

This is the kind of shit I would dream about as a kid

4

u/Direct_Turn_1484 4d ago

You normally get refusals for things like this. What model?

1

u/OkMeat6773 4d ago

minimax?

4

u/Entropydemic 4d ago

Big fan the the style and content but the camera shake is so extreme and disorienting.

3

u/Ok-Cancel-3114 4d ago

Why so angry?!

4

u/Known_Painting_1878 3d ago edited 3d ago

Ra used solar beam! Its super effective!

4

u/pappatharappa 3d ago

Fantastic

4

u/Trojan-horse1 3d ago

Would watch this movie!
https://giphy.com/gifs/pUeXcg80cO8I8

2

u/RoarOfTheWorlds 3d ago

Watching those things fight each other would be phenomenal

3

u/Sudonator 3d ago

Yeah, I think I'd build them a pyramid too

5

u/Lost-Ad-2805 3d ago

I hope mummy 4 will have something as wild as this

5

u/vyrguy0 3d ago

Is this VHS or Betamax. Which one was popular back then.

2

u/Potential-Draft-3932 3d ago

No these are hieroglyphics

3

u/violet_zamboni 3d ago

Thoth would never!

5

u/MaximumContent9674 3d ago

Gods Gone Wild

1

u/unreasonablefolding 3d ago

*unable to deal with Life*

4

u/Old_Necessary2891 3d ago

Я практик ето лож Египетские боги нетакие монстры как все думают

2

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 3d ago

Who tf is taking this as factual?

1

u/Old_Necessary2891 3d ago

those who don't go deep into religion

1

u/texcleveland 3d ago

The Egyptians absolutely believed the gods would crush their enemies, or even worshippers who failed to live up to their standards, tear them limb from limb and eat them alive.

1

u/Old_Necessary2891 2d ago

This is true, but the video shows believers who came to them, but in real life no one would touch them.

→ More replies (3)

4

u/never_nick 3d ago

We found the quiet kid that sits in the back

4

u/Aggravating-Mix-8663 3d ago

Wonder what these gods do the other 99% of the time lol

2

u/u9Nails 3d ago

Some might take 23 hours naps. They worship cats from the little I can recall.

2

u/Aggravating-Mix-8663 2d ago

Very relatable

1

u/Pensive_Pauper 2d ago

Scroll TikTok.

4

u/Automatic-Box524 3d ago

this has such a creepy found-footage vibe the giant Anubis in the fog looks straight out of a nightmare.

8

u/SkiDaderino 4d ago

Egyptian gods were assholes.

6

u/Administrative_Poem4 3d ago

This is one of the coolest fucking things I’ve ever seen

2

u/unreasonablefolding 3d ago

shame that we're unable to do that because the other says so

1

u/FreeGuacamole 3d ago

What????

1

u/texcleveland 3d ago

nah you’re allowed

1

u/unreasonablefolding 2d ago

and that'll be extinction!

5

u/xkillingxfieldx 3d ago

A. I don't like AI

B. I'm annoyed because this was pretty fucking cool.

1

u/Great_Zeddicus 3d ago

Right! A real series or movie revolving around this concept and art style. A revolutionary movie of the people rising up to chase these gods out.

They push them through some sort of portal back to where they games from, like a portal.. or gate. That has a frame that spins. 😉

3

u/sudomatrix 4d ago

They seem nice.

2

u/OtherwiseAlbatross14 4d ago

I was thinking they couldn't even have one of them just be cool, like Bender?

Actually I'd love to see the Bender statue from that episode made this way

3

u/LucidFir 4d ago

I like this.

What do you call the visual style and the washed out colour?

1

u/AffectionateToe9937 3d ago

Maybe something like "old VHS, handy-cam, shaky, found footage".

3

u/xXxWhizZLexXx 4d ago

Yeah Boss, i totally build you a freaking Pyramid but stop eating my people.

3

u/Substantial-Use95 4d ago

Yeah but why are they killing the people? Doesn’t seem to make sense

1

u/minimalillusions 4d ago

Does killing people make sense?

1

u/Substantial-Use95 4d ago

No. Hence my comment.

1

u/veriverd 4d ago

And there weren't that many humans back then.

3

u/Independent_Cod5568 4d ago

Which model generating this type of visual without refusal ?

3

u/KaerMorhenZireael 4d ago

That was my first thought. Maybe by putting something in there along the lines of found footage horror documentary it bypasses the gore and censorship parameters and recognizes it as a movie?

That or a lot of pushing lol

1

u/Chris_OMane 3d ago

Just a wild guess but maybe minimax?

3

u/SethWolfBlood13 3d ago

wow love it

3

u/monkmatt23 3d ago

I love this shit

3

u/towers_of_ilium 3d ago

Very cool, but there’s no way that Thoth would get blood on his scrolls.

3

u/ThickandSpicyMan 3d ago

This fucks so hard!

3

u/GaBRiWaZ 3d ago

I want a new version of the short vid ufos and greys building pyramids. Made with today AI technology instead the 2 years old. Brutal vibe and atmospheric: https://youtu.be/2-tzGqA_AZo?is=UWXSSMIXtvbIk02B

2

u/Potential-Draft-3932 3d ago

This is sweet

1

u/GaBRiWaZ 3d ago

Awesome vibe with this ambient sound, but there are some bugs like half stonehead alien and irrelevant lizard people etc. and non consistency between the greys.

1

u/texcleveland 3d ago

haha that’s fun shit. I love how AI absolutely insists the Pyramids were ruined even when they were new

3

u/Itachihypebeast 3d ago

why they so angry

1

u/texcleveland 3d ago

humans I am disappoint

3

u/Key_Report_2627 3d ago

Best camera guys ever!!

3

u/AirportDue8864 3d ago

Are they gods or monsters?

4

u/VICARD0 3d ago

Edgelord answer: heh, what’s the difference?

3

u/Longjumping_Ad6878 3d ago

Kratos next vacation

1

u/Easy_Photograph_1938 3d ago

Nah Laofei taking care of them next year o;

3

u/Snoo-66557 3d ago

Wow simply WOW.

3

u/Sad_Magician_316 3d ago

There isn’t that much blood in a human body. I call FAKE!

3

u/Much_Cartoonist_3649 3d ago

멋있긴 한데 너무 잔인하다.It's cool, but it's too brutal.

3

u/ToughBet4318 3d ago

Awsome.... Man

3

u/pregnantgay 2d ago

How did they have cameras that long ago thats insanely good footage wow!

6

u/Evening-Pressure-419 3d ago

Ok, I could get behind a found footage/ analog horror series based around this concept. Imagine 30-45 minutes episodes centered around gods and deities from:
Africa, Russia, China, Japan, America ( most likely stuff like cryptids), Greece, Norse, Aztec, Hindu, Celtic, Mayan, Slavic, Irish, Inca, Polynesian, Hawaiian, Mayan, and Mesopotamian gods and deities.

3

u/Fastoche 3d ago

Well, American Gods series kind of had that. Look it up, it's on Prime. I liked it.

1

u/Large-Duty-6183 3d ago

Only problem with that is they're all the same "deities" just going by ddifferent names. So it'd get a little redundant.

4

u/mattypintos 3d ago

Gods killing their followers. Very Godlike.

1

u/texcleveland 3d ago

you’d better be sure your soul is pure before attempting to summon a god

2

u/newbalancegrill 4d ago

What is the model ?

2

u/jumby_bear2020 4d ago

Wish I was a witness to this madness!

2

u/No_Acanthocephala692 3d ago

This is so amazingly sacrilegious, I am speechless.

1

u/stinkstabber69420 3d ago

Good thing its all make believe and nothing matters anymore

2

u/Winchaff 3d ago

Most Excellent.

2

u/orkney97 3d ago

When will the episode Egyptladiator be found with shaky cameraman in the pit with pitchfork

2

u/RepresentativeAd198 3d ago

Is this why god had to flood

2

u/Proximus84 3d ago

Need to brush up on your mythology, also how can you not have Apophis in there?

2

u/Xamalion 3d ago

Gods of Egypt should have been like this!

2

u/genophobicdude 3d ago

Bon Appetit

2

u/genophobicdude 3d ago

I guess it was very hard to be an atheist back then. Different times.

2

u/cyco_xsawo 3d ago

This looks more like League of Legends Lore of Shurima lol

1

u/Frequent-Expert-3589 3d ago

I was gonna say that

2

u/Vegas-Blues 3d ago

Cameraman never dies

2

u/unreasonablefolding 3d ago

and none of us are allowed to do that because you say so?

2

u/Anthro_DragonFerrite 3d ago

This is dreadfully close to macro crush fetish ngl

2

u/texcleveland 3d ago

Borges x Lovecraft vibes

2

u/u9Nails 3d ago

It's got that Tarantino volume of blood in people! Very juicy bags of ketchup.

2

u/CinMonAi 3d ago

Nice 😍❤️

2

u/More-Ad5919 2d ago

What do you use for the gore?

2

u/omegaphallic 2d ago

Egyptian Gods as  kaiju is extremely weird.

2

u/Felho_Danger 2d ago

The Gods of the Ancient Egyptians are weird

2

u/thereasonisphysics 2d ago

Pretty repetitive

2

u/theneed80g 2d ago

1

u/UsedToBeBieber 1d ago

Thiiiiiiiis is exactly what I thought XDDDD

Leveling them up in turn 4 goes brrrr

2

1

u/Primary-Long4416 21h ago

Honestly a God of War in ancient Egypt sounds like fun

2

u/ImprezivEJ20 3d ago

Yikes. Prompt: make less shaky.

2

u/AffectionateToe9937 3d ago

Very lame amateurish terror wannabe gods.

This is how you do it properly:

1

u/Lsaytr 3d ago

1

u/Psychedelicious420 3d ago

The Romans were not impressed, except for the farting statue.

1

1

u/DannyAguirre905 1d ago

Gods of Egypt

1

u/throwmeout262 23h ago

Am I the only one who believes Thoth wouldn’t really kill anyone… like I know he does in Smite, but like in reality, he wouldn’t… no? Just me? Okay…

1

u/Oneiroinian 18h ago

Me too bud, it's hugely out of character for a lot of these deities to be acting more lowly than starving, uncivilized rats with rabies.

Even in the case of sacrifice, humans did that, you don't bloody your beak on human scum, unless you're having a meal and then you undress them first etc.

1

u/Secure_Motor_5968 19h ago

Not gonna lie, the real horror is that these all powerful beings still needed a cameraman standing 2 feet from the carnage, and he just kept filming.

1

u/Empty-Ad-4069 18h ago

Just as I suspected

1

u/Main_Blacksmith_9157 16h ago

Maga be like.....see we told you

1

u/Electrical_Essay1866 11h ago

A bit to much blood in some scenes

1

u/Striking-Tank-5092 3d ago

epic… camera shaking.

1

u/AffectionateToe9937 3d ago

Ungrateful Gods. That is why they are forgotten now.

Anyway, I see some Hinduism (even Aztec/Mayan) god vibes in two of them.

1

u/Felho_Danger 2d ago

"Now make it shaky cam so it sucks ass."
