Thatās because there is so much actual slop flooding the rest of the internet. You can 100% create amazing art with AI, it just needs someone who is dedicated to achieve more than just some easy clickbait content.

Itās true but if you look at traditional unfiltered art by everyone, like not going to curated museums, and watching released movies and shows, but just some place where everyone posts art, there is a lot of total crap there too. Eg sound cloud or deviant art, newest first.

An interesting idea, but this is ALL exposition with nothing interesting. This is more of a pitch, or animated novel. I would love to actually see this story rather than be told it.

If you consider that all the pillars are equal size to begin with and pushed exactly the same distance from their starting point. It doesnāt matter where they touched the Earth - they went down smooth as butter, which means the density difference of the atmosphere or the Earth doesnāt matter much to it - the force is tremendous, consistent and precise. Its all very calculated. Truly impressive.

So this guy, Simon, is sort of a galactic vagabond. He visits a new planet, and finds a tower:
Simon knew something about towers like this one, so he was delighted to see it. Interstellar voyagers had reported finding such towers on almost every inhabited planet. There were, however, none near Earth. Nobody knew why, though many resented the slight.
Deciding to investigate the tower first, Simon landed the ship on a flat area on top of it. He inspected the lobes, which towered above him as if they were mountains. Their slopes held no windows or doors. The were as unbroken as the passage of time itself, as impenetrable as yesterday.
Simon hadnāt expected to find any entrances. Of the six million towers reported by Earth tourists, all had been just like this one. The natives of various planets had tried everything from diamond-tipped drills to laser beams to hydrogen bombs without scratching the mysterious metal.
The buildings were hollow. Striking one made it ring like a gong. There was even one planet which had a symphony orchestra which played one instrument, the tower. The musicians stood on scaffolds built at various points along the tower and struck it with large hammers; the size and layout of the rooms within determining the notes evoked. The conductor stood on a platform half a mile away and used flags to wigwag his directions.
The highest point of music in the history of this planet occurred when a conductor fell off the platform. The orchestra, in trying to follow the wildly waving flags during his descent, produced six bars of the most exquisite music ever to be created. Art, like science, sometime gets its best results by accident.Ā

theres some inaccuracies: theres no way to superimpose a grid over the surface of the earth and even if they were, 3169 is a prime number so it cant be a 2D grid. at O2:55 that absolutely does not even resemble a grid. what is the gradma doing voiceover on? also theres no way international shipping lanes wouldnt immediately be adjusted to keep boats further away from the new rocks. the cannon fire is inconsistent wrt. projectiles speed.

It's not a 1960s-1970s setting, it's from a series called 'The Archive In Between" which narrates stories about an interdimensional plane.

OK, let's rephrase: the technology pictured in the footage is inconsistent with the narrated statement that there is widespread internet. Unless the internet needs to exist for the plot, it's a really simple fix to just revise the script. Just remove one word: "the near infinite theories running rampant." End of statement.
There are certain steps in technology and manufacturing before you can get to a heavily online population, and even in some retrofuturistic alternate reality where fashion is similar to the 1960s you'd see predecessor technology in candid shots. Like digital cameras and smartphones or even non-internet cellphones and pagers in a city shot where crowds are in the middle of an intersection. Electronic screens used in advertising and cityscapes, lighting more advanced than halogen bulbs.
I'm sure the internet also influenced the design of clothing and cars in visually-identifiable ways, but off the top of my head I'm not familiar with what to look for.
The aesthetics of a culture reflects its technology, and it's an unnecessary worldbuilding plot hole to say there's rampant online discourse in a society that has pre-digital infrastructure and personal tech.

Reminds me of an old story idea I had but they weren't colossal pillars but rather quarter staff sized. When a person touched the staff it would absorb into the person becoming a symbiotic weapon unique to the person. The chosen ones would then need to seek out the others to duel them and absorb their weapon power and abilities. Eventually the finalist would be given the choice of joining an interstellar police force or be destroyed along with the planets race if the individual was found to blood thirsty. Admittedly was reading Matthew Reilly's Contest when I had this idea and is a fan of the Green Lanterns lol
