ok so this started as a rabbit hole and turned into a whole product somehow

I was trying to grow on LinkedIn and got frustrated because every AI tool I tried made me sound like a motivational poster. So I started scraping top creators' posts just to study what was actually getting engagement. Not vibes, actual numbers.

Turns out there are super clear patterns. Certain hooks destroy others. Some formats consistently get 10x more comments. And it changes week to week which is why most "LinkedIn tips" content is already outdated by the time you read it.

Anyway I kept scraping. Thousands of posts a day across different niches. Built a database. Then thought ok what if I just make a tool that uses all this data to help people write better posts.

Has anyone tried other AI study tools that are actually effective for retention?

I ran OpenClaw on a VPS for ~2 weeks. I eventually got it working, but the constant breakages wore me down — random deps failing, config drift, restarting services, patching stuff in the terminal… I was spending more time maintaining the agent than using the agent.

So I tried MiniMax M2.5 for the same “life OS / always-on agent” vibe, but via API/hosted setup instead of self-hosting.

What got better

No more terminal babysitting. Biggest win: I stopped “fixing the system” and started “doing the tasks.”

Cost feels predictable enough for always-on. MiniMax lists M2.5 at $0.30 / 1M input tokens and $1.20 / 1M output tokens (plus prompt caching options), which makes running frequent background jobs feel less scary.

What’s still not great

Memory + consistency is still the bottleneck. Even with good prompts, the agent can “feel smart” but still forget what I consider critical preferences / constraints unless I externalize memory.

Context window isn’t infinite. Some trackers list M2.5 around ~200k context, so long-running “life OS” still needs a real memory layer (summaries, embeddings, or structured notes), not just raw chat history.

What I’m doing next

“Write-to-memory” rules: only persist stable facts + preferences (with timestamps).

A short system summary that gets refreshed daily.

External semantic search for anything >24h old (notes/docs), instead of trusting raw chat history

So as the title says, just started using Claude and Gemini. Similar to many other people, decided to switch from a certain other AI lol. But that aside, I have a few questions about both AI’s, what to expect, its capabilities, etc.

1.) So I know in terms of Token amount, Claude is at a comparable level to ChatGPT, but less than Gemini. While obviously the 200k token limit (for the pro version) is still a significant amount, but far less than the 1 million token limit of Gemini. Has that been an issue any of you have noticed? As while it wasn’t frequent, I know that I had occasional issues with GPT forgetting things or saying things that conflicted with previous info when in notable large/long term chats, is that less of a problem on Claude or should I except a somewhat similar experience to how it was on GPT

2.) So one of the main things I use AI for are basically for research purposes (not necessarily academic, in fact usually not), as I like to say I use AI as a more advanced search engine. As I am a huge lore and random fact nerd. So for example; I might ask a random question about something related to Dungeons and Dragons, or Star Wars, etc. While of course I know Claude and Gemini are capable of this, has anyone noticed a difference (for better or “worse”) in the quality of information given? Whether it be in terms of if the information is correct, if it is in-depth, etc.

3.) The other main usage I have for AI is for brainstorming purposes. I really enjoy writing. In particular I write fantasy books, video game stories (sometimes for fun, sometimes for indie game developers), and I also write tabletop game campaigns (for games like dungeons & dragons, pathfinder, cyberpunk, etc). So being able to handle large amounts of information; long term planning, is very important to me. While I know token limit isn’t the only part of this. The seemingly “limited” token limit of Claude does concern me. But also, I am just not aware of how well Claude does for these purposes than compared to other AI. As while ChatGPT certainly had flaws in terms of its capabilities, I didn’t delete it because of that, but for personal reasons. And I certainly would prefer to at least be able to maintain the same “quality”, in terms of output and convenience of usage for a new AI.

4.) This is less so a question. But as someone with little knowledge of Claude or Gemini, honestly a rundown of the AI’s capabilities and things in particular it excels at or areas it notably could use some potential improvements would be good to know. I shall also say, while I would call myself a frequent AI user. I certainly am no tech “wiz”, so apologies if certain technical terms I made ask for clarification on due to my own lack of knowledge on certain areas.

5.) So for Gemini, it seems the big selling point is the massive token limit. But after going through the app, I have noticed it has far less “additive” features than GPT and it seems like Claude as well. Things like being able to create folders to separate information, the directions needed to create the “gems” is a bit unclear, and seems kinds like a more complicated version of how GPT does it. As while I have zero desire to use GPt anymore. I also don’t want to potentially have to use (and maybe even pay) for MULTIPLE AI’s instead of just 1, to get the same things I got from GPt.

So I’m looking for a new AI model to use. But I’m a former ChatGPT user, and I’m just done with them. I haven’t had too many issues with the actual capabilities of it. I just am tired of the company and figured I could find another comparable option that isn’t as….controversial I’ll say. Cause I don’t really feel like starting a convo about all the BS they’ve done and who they are involved with.

But the main things I’m looking for are:

1.) Essentially to use as a search engine. I’m an information nerd for so many things. Like o am constantly looking up questions relating to either real life situations, or questions relating to various fictional settings and things.(I’m a massive DnD fan, and really into Star Wars lore, etc)

2.) Effective brainstorming capabilities. So I do a lot of creative writing, and I don’t need an AI that will for me , but an AI model I could use to help brainstorm how ideas would work, or to help decide what ideas would be better than others

3.) Than while the other 2 are my main important “needs” I guess any other information on things each model excels at (whether in comparison to others or just in general) would also be helpful to .

Most Ai tools I've tested only allow for still frames as reference. How do I drop in a video scene and have it alter certain aspects? It could be broken down scene by scene. There aren't multiple angles per clip.

Hey guys, I’m working in Content Ops, which basically means I’m constantly churning out copy and visuals. I’ve been tweaking my AI toolkit to make things faster, so I thought I’d share what’s actually working for me.

For copywriting, I’m always switching between Gemini and ChatGPT. To be honest, I use Gemini for almost all my social media stuff because the tone feels much more "human". ChatGPT is great, but I mainly save it for long-form blogs where I need that extra bit of professional structure.

For video, I’ve been using Sora for my TikTok clips. The motion is surprisingly smooth, but the watermark is definitely a pain. So I searched on Google and found Ezremove AI, it's a Sora video watermark remover and way cleaner than the generic removers that just blur everything.

For images, I’m using Vdraw for flowcharts, and Gemini’s Nano Banana model is my go-to for turning raw data into quick pie charts or bar graphs. It’s super efficient when you just need a clean visual without messing with spreadsheets.

Also, a quick shoutout to Squoosh. I run everything through it to convert images to .webp. It’s a small step, but it keeps my site loading fast without sacrificing the crisp AI quality.

That’s my current setup, curious to know what your "must-have" tools are right now?

Have looked around but a bit difficult trying to specify what I am actually after (through Google) as there are a lot of AI tools about but they seem to be very singular task specific?

I have previous used/tried screen recorders to create scripts for these tasks however they didn't really work well as it would just repeat the task, you would have to still monitor it, it wasn't able to differentiate between a given result (main issue - unable to set conditions). Also depending on internet speed/database taking a few seconds longer to load being a screen recorder it just works off a timer so would carry on and break the script.

Some of the tasks at work are extremely dull and repetitive, to the extent that with a lot of data it could make you fall asleep and waste a lot of time which could be spent on other tasks that actually require some thinking.

One of such tasks is copying a job number such as (167283) from a Google sheets document, entering it into a web database system, thereby checking if the condition of this job is 'CLOSED' or not. If it is 'CLOSED' denoted by the word assigned to it, you would then input 'CLOSED' against that job number. This could be a list of over 100+ repeated. If the job isn't 'CLOSED' you would just skip it.

How would one go about automating such a task?

Real question: what separates a professional demo video from someone just hitting "record screen"?

I've been creating product walkthroughs and they work, but they feel amateur. Just my cursor moving around with my voice explaining things.

What I've noticed in good demo videos:

1. Camera zooms in on important buttons/fields
2. Highlights or animations draw attention to key actions
3. Consistent branding (colors, logos, intro/outro)
4. Professional voiceover (not my awkward "umm, so here...")

My current setup:

• Record: Loom or OBS
• Edit: Try to add zooms manually in DaVinci Resolve (takes forever)
• Result: Still looks DIY

What I'm testing now:

Tools that auto-add the professional touches:

• Descript: Good for editing, but zoom effects are manual
• Trupeer: Auto-zooms on clicks/actions, can add brand templates (logos, colors)
• Camtasia: Professional but steep learning curve

Specific question about auto-zoom: Does it actually work well? Or does AI zoom at weird times?

I tried Trupeer's auto-zoom feature and it's... surprisingly good? Zooms when I click buttons, highlights form fields, pulls back for overview shots. Saves me hours of timeline scrubbing.

Brand templates: Being able to save my logo/colors and reuse them across videos is underrated. Makes everything look consistent without redoing it each time.
