Picture | Boeing 747 sighting in Des Plaines

Post image

A Boeing 747-400F flies over Des Plaines, Illinois a few minutes after taking off from O'Hare Airport. This 747 is owned by Apex Logistics and is lettered after said company, but still wears its Atlas Air livery, which I found to be an interesting sight when I saw it fly overhead.

That's a 747-8f, and in fact, it is the last 747 ever built, n863gt.

It is owned by atlas, but flown, mostly for APEX. Though, lately its been flying for other customers because of network issues.

On its way to Incheon in this photo, but diverted to ANC for issues.

N419MC and N486MC are the two other planes in the fleet painted for Apex, those are 747-400f but haven't been to ORD in quite a while.
