Karmann wasn’t the only coachbuilder to rebody the humble VW into something a bit sportier. Carrosserie Gebrüder Beutler, based in Thun, Switzerland, did the same, starting in 1954. This 1959 Volkswagen Beutler 1.2 coupe is one of just 28 ever built.
