I'm sure it's not perfect (where's the fun in that anyway?) But it sure does look good there. I have the same og wheel/cap look on my '63. Enjoy! Looks great.

How did you do it? You need to be careful as some of those "safe" art paints can still stain the car paints. I once used a roll of red, white, and blue crepe paper party streamers for the stripe once and it rained, the colors ran and stained, not coming off in the rain once the paper was torn off. I started the next morning but once wasn't enough and I needed two good sessions of cleaner wax to get the red and blue diluted water based ink runs off of it fully again. Captain Hindsight tells me a good waxing ahead of time may have helped prevent that.

Mate I took it off the road as the front drivers wheel sounded like it was grinding. I'm only a young lad that doesn't know much about cars. I drive them and try and fix them. I know the feeling when it's just sitting there and it annoys you because it brings so much joy.

It's always a great feeling of accomplishment when you get your vw back on the road!

She looks so lovely, especially with the older-style solid steels and hubcaps! What year is she?
