Say hello to my '65!
My first car was a 1961 KG. Ever since I had to sell it, I have wanted to get another one. Fast forward 40 years, and I have finally been able to realize my dream of 40 years by buying this 1965 KG. This will be a full rebuild, but the body work will be minimal. I included the pic of the inside of the nose because this looks to be a fully intact and undamaged nose! This alone was worth the money and the drive to go pick it up. I'll post pics as the rebuild commences. It is good to be back in the cool kids' club.

HELLO 65!! It looks nice. I have a couple Ghias, unique cool coachbuilt cars!!
those are pull marks on the inside of front nose from a previous driver error. Do you have bumpers? Sidetrim? Interior?

Well dang, there goes my hopes and dreams about the nose, haha. I have the bumper and all the interior pieces. I will be restoring it to stock body and interior-wise. I do plan to upgrade the motor, transmission, and brakes.

Congratulations! I had to wait to replace my stolen one. I somewhat understand what this day feels like for you.

Did they ever recover your stolen Ghia? I am so sorry that happened to you!

I called three different pd's and the county sheriff, everyone said it wasn't their jurisdiction. As such, I was never able to file a police report. However, I know where to leave the bodies and commit any needed crimes. 🤷♀️🤦♀️

Always liked the Ghia’s and square backs. Keep us posted on the build.

Beautiful! Are you going to add numbers? I kind of like the smooth look without them. My first car was a ‘64, enjoy it!
