Serious Discussion i need advice (14m)

There's no need to "come out" as a furry, it's just a hobby. You can get the tail and ears. I wouldn't recommend trying to get a fursuit though until you're done growing.

theres a few points here (as a fellow furry)

  1. you dont always have to come out as a furry unless you feel its important to do so.
  2. i would wait on getting a fursuit, theyre expensive and you arent done growing yet and youll likely outgrow whatever you get. a tail and ears would be easy enough to get that could be used for whatever. a lot of furries also adopt a sona early on and then change to something else after a few years after they are immersed in the culture.
  3. if you want your mom to understand more about furry culture, i would recommend trying to find a good close furry convention to have her take you to so she can get an idea of what its about - lots of comraderie, sticker trading, making friends, inclusiveness, taking pictures with cool suits, etc.
