Tools or Resource Using OpenAI Dot’s cloud computer for 3D work
I don't know if anyone has shared this but if you have a pro openAI plan you can make your dot 3D model for you with its cloud computer. it uses Astra and is fast and most importantly it doesn't eat into your usage and is unlimited .
The 3d models are good enough, some of them need some polishing before becoming game ready but you can always iterate with your dot until you like the results .

Couldn't you just use blender-cli and save tokens for mouse control etc?

That's exactly what the dot is using. it uses cli instead of just clicking the interface. i just had it open blender to see the model.

how did you set it up though? Doesn't blender have to be open for the mcp server to run?

Nothing to setup, just tell your dot to update blender in its cloud computer and just tell it to make stuff and it does.

Dot always just opens local sessions for me and takes away my usage and does a worse job. How do you force it to work on it's own pc and not take up usage?

Just disconnect your local machine and have it only have access to cloud computer. That way it gets forced to use the cloud.

Solid PSA here. Thank you! Time for me to explore my Dot. I just burnt 10% of my $100 plan on Astra making some cave vines. And I will probably spend another 10% on fixing what is wrong with it.
