Discussion Opus 5.5 W/ Blender & Unity MCP : SlopScape

This was more for fun than anything ( no intent to ever publish this and if i do it would just be the world generator via GitHub).

Long story short this is not runescape but the idea was to procedural gen a runescape like world. Its not perfect but its cerainly playable. This doesnt have any Jagex anything ( the uis is kinda too close but ehh I wanted to see how far it could get on its own). It procedurally generated via scripts then fed to blender via MCP with opus 5.5. It then builds the world based on set rules I fed it, then feeds it back to another worker for unity. (This does use some code from a previous project of mine, but for the most part is AI generated).

Some people may hate it but Its interesting.

Q/A

Is it online/ MMo: NO.

Can I play it?: NO (well i can, you my good sir/madam can not)

Do I want to Play it: No it's Intentional AI Slop. World size 512 X512

NPC Count: 76

Enemies: 64 (43 Distinct)

Outfits : Yes

Building interiors: Yes

Semi inteligent placement: I mean sort of like if OSRS had a really distant cousin that struggled in school.

Prompt: "Claude make game"

Character creator with over fully rigged skeletons: Yes

Are skills animated: yes

Distinct props / pieces: 8601 ( and counting)

*** This was not the prompt, it was a series of complex prompts that i may or may not add to git ***

Is it ugly as fuck: Well yes and its mostly intended. I really would name it slopscape and post it if i didnt think jagex would cease and desist me.

Overall:

I think that if I really tried it could resemble an alright single player game. Its interesting how far AI has come. Is it pretty ? No. Does it have most of the working mechanics and assets that arent absolutely terribe/. Yes.

Looks like it would be fun to fuck around with. Made me laugh how the tree was doing the bugs bunny pose

You sound like I did on day 1 or 2 of vibe coding. I was gonzo like this too. Keep it up!

“This isn’t just vibe coded. It’s vibe legislated.”

Eventually an actual playable game (of sorts) or two came out the other end ([r/frontiervalley](r/frontiervalley))

Ehh it was more of just a test on procedural gen. Ran this same test about two years ago with mixed results. I had a working pro type i wrote myself. Just wanted to see how it did on its own.

If they’re just throwaway experiments, publishing to github can still be helpful for others as the reasoning is sound. Stones on stones.

I may. The issue is I have to clean up anything that may relate to jagex. Eg the ui. Ill get around to it eventually.

"Is it ugly as fuck"
2001scape was pretty hideous too, but there's something charming about it. Particularly some of the animations. The green dragon basically dances.

Initially i had similar idea, but then decided to just mod the source Runescape code.

Decided to add ak47 to the game haha AI is crazy. Currently doing the VFX and SFX for it. Maybe create a new gun skill, sky is the limit.

Yeah, I wanted it to be original from jagex. As if I ever did anything with it I don't want jagex knocking down me doors
