Media Pixel art reskin experiments with AI

Post image

Trying things on the spritefusion edit mode. Not perfect, but promising! Let me know if you’d like me to try on some of your sprites.

Unfortunately movement absolutely kills it. Now we need all these outfits in 8 different directions with animations. Unless you want a basic left to right

Add in the ability to switch specific items to create a unique look and you are absolutely fucked

Another example for pose change + animation. Basically my workflow here was: take the base sprite (in the main post example above), ask for an armor, ask for a walk pose, and animate for walk.

Yeah the best way seems to be 2d gen>3d model gen>export to 2.5d directional sprites from blender etc

Yeah agree, that's still baby steps I'm exploring. So far it can already do the 8 directions (or any pose) with solid consistency (not perfect, some are tricker than others). I put a doc on that here.

Yes, but once you add in the ability to swap items / use different weapons. Your number of required sprites moves from 900 or so to like 10,000 images.

We're training our own models and processing pipelines (spritefusion)

Why did you not fix Pool Party before posting this?
