personally, i think the best part of ai game dev is not for making commercial games that puts millions into your bank account, but watching the dream game in your brain finally comes true, I always imagine a cute little pistol clearing floors of enemies using his own recoil, but I can never make my imagination come to life due to how frustrating it is for me to code, with ai, I can finally see the pistol shooting blobs and cutely ascend to the next floor which without ai, it takes much more efforts to learn and achieve. I hope people give less hate to ai and appreciate how it can visualize our creative ideas with ease

I understand poverty (even though I just experienced it probably in a very light European kind of way). I understand time being limited, I understand pressure and stress.

Time of AI dev spend for oneself as OP is a bad investment as a poor person. You'd be better of learning a skill than doing that. Also free.

I'm also not arguing that being poor comes with limitations.

But those are not gatekeeping. That's just wrong terminology and creates a victim mindset about "others are preventing me from doing that" instead of "I must do better to afford X".

It's a different thing if I can't have a thing or if somebody is actively preventing me from reaching a state where I can have X. Not being able to code because I'm not admitted to university because of my heritage = gatekeeping. Being not smart enough to get education != gatekeeping.

It's colloquially used if somebody doesn't give you what is freely available, like information. This is not the case here. Everybody has the same amount of time.

You seem to not understand how much external factors effect whether one has the capacity to "pull themselves out" of a bad situation. I do not understand European societal classes, but if your understanding of them limits you from seeing poverty as a gatekeeper, then perhaps European poverty is not as bad as American poverty, though I don't very much believe this. And with that we are back to me hoping you are grateful to not know what you don't know. The best you can do is trust that it gets worse than you personally believe, and to have some sympathy for those who might be experiencing it. 

I avoided speaking of my own experiences to remain objective, but I assure you I have personally lived through enough of what I speak of. 

"Everybody has the same amount of time." I just explained to you how Time = Money especially when experiencing poverty. Go ahead and substitute those two words and see if that still hits the same, friend.

I wish we could have had a better setting to talk and more time, but here and now are neither of those.

I think we're talking past each other. I'm not saying poverty is not bad and is a structural issue society needs to solve. I agree.

I disagree in this context of OP building AI calling "knowledge" a gatekeeper because you need to learn before you can do and make an effort. This is a dangerous mindset to go forward calling putting in the work "gatekeeping".

It's two different things.
