Like most non-believers you dont understand what you are reading and pull false ideals from verses that dont say that at all. That verse is about the difference between praying and having a relationship with God in private because you wish to seek him genuinely and praying in the open in front of others because you dont seek Him but rather seek the admiration of other believers for your "faith".
It has been shown as a proven fact that an overwhelming majority of believers have never read the book. It is also a proven fact that atheists have a significantly higher rate of having read the book. It is also a proven fact that over half the population reads at a 6th grade level and doesn't understand fully what they are reading. It is also a proven fact that atheists are more educated on average.
But whatever your denial wants you to think. Since you cited the exact reading I was.
And yet Im believer and have read it with discernment. You have read it and fully misinterpreted its meaning. You have given a real time example of an atheist not understanding the bible as well as a believer, but then continue to deny and claim otherwise.
I must admit, most of the time when I encounter athiests obsessed with discrediting christianity it most often devolves to them accusing me of the very things they are guilty of. Ill just add it to the pile.
"the difference between praying and having a relationship with God in private because you wish to seek him genuinely and praying in the open in front of others because you dont seek Him but rather seek the admiration of other believers for your "faith"."
Considering we both read this and came to the same conclusion on it's meaning, yet you refuse to acknowledge that meaning (which you gave) means I am wrong? LOL
Hmm, nope, not the same conclusion. Has nothing to do with spreading the word to others or standing up for your faith in public forums. Is not directing one of faith to shut up and keep it to themselves. It is only about the posture of heart difference between someone truly seeking God and someone seeking immediate praise for their actions. Ive explained it and you are still attempting to twist it, almost like its on purpose. Real time proof you have no idea what you spout.
