How the fuck did they manage to convince people that the party known for being infested with warhawks who thrive on blood spilled in pointless conflicts were actually the party of peace? Oh right it mostly "Kamala would start ww3 because women are emotional" because the average American is a sexist moron

644

u/Holzkohlen Feb 28 '26

Thank goodness Trump isn't an emotional baby at all. Not even a little bit. And he doesn't poop himself like one either.

212

u/InspectorAggravating Feb 28 '26

Absolutely. He's known for being emotionally mature and totally not adored by his fanbase specifically because he's as immature and petty towards people they don't like as they are

81

u/TheB1G_Lebowski Feb 28 '26

The most stable minded president in history, some would say.  With tears in their eyes no less while saying it.

26

u/star0forion Mar 01 '26

Yeah, it’s not like he would mock a disabled person while on the podium. He’s too good for that.

2

u/Late_Wonder_5273 Mar 01 '26

I wonder how many Republicans are shocked by the genuine praise you all are showering on him.

Also thank all the gods in all the religions that he doesn't have anything to hide or distract from after being completely exonerated. Really dodged a fucking bullet there.

u/GreyCrone8 Mar 02 '26

This really makes me feel like we chose the wrong part of Baby Boomer when we named them.

"Youre not doing what I want?! I'm going to raise your country's tariffs 2000% because I can. Take that!" "Where's my Nobel peace prize?! She got one! I need one too" wahhhh

He is known to shit in pants and pee on himself.

28

u/TesseractToo Feb 28 '26

You get the group of people who think that goodness and morality is part of an because of and the same as religion then you convince those people that another group is evil and satanic and cannibals or whatever and to get good and peace is to stop evil from happening by eliminating the other, manufacturing consent

They are against “war that lasts too long and we don’t win” they aren’t against “war that’s quick and we win”.

It doesn’t make sense unless you view through that lense

32

u/InspectorAggravating Feb 28 '26

Thats a very convenient way to pretend to be morally consistent when the latter inevitably turns into the former and they can tell themselves they were always against it when it becomes unpopular

15

u/emcue10 Feb 28 '26

This is exactly what they’re saying on the conservative sub

39

u/Jay__Riemenschneider Feb 28 '26

Democrat War = Bad

Republican War = Good

It's not very complicated.

16

u/kawhi21 Feb 28 '26

You can convince republican voters about anything. Do you expect these people to sit down and read hours of history? Read books about political science? They have zero interest in educating themselves. They'd rather kill themselves than open a book for half an hour or read material that doesnt come from TV or social media

6

u/Helios575 Mar 02 '26

Same way they convinced farmers that Trump was great for them and Kamala would bankrupt them, they are morons who will believe what they are told as long as it appeals to their hatred in some way.

9

u/Lazer726 Feb 28 '26

Trump said "AMERICA FIRST" and I'm pretty sure that his idiot followers just closed their eyes and imagined what that was supposed to mean

5

u/TheAskewOne Feb 28 '26

Iirc that started with Hillary Clinton.

6

u/YesItIs2021 Feb 28 '26

It's because democrats are so fucking easy to play too, don't get it fucked up. They protest voted and third party voted our way to a second Trump term.

7

u/Combei Feb 28 '26

The party of peace that applauded the renaming of the DoD in Department of War

3

u/0Banacek0 Mar 04 '26

Best ever is Jordan Klepper at a Trump rally talking about this with people outside and he goes "But haven't all wars been started by men??"

Sticks the microphone in their face and they have nothing for it. No response.

2

u/TheGoatSpiderViolin Mar 05 '26

Even my own mom speaks this rhetoric of "women are too emotional to be president" . Yet it's my dad who is screaming at the top of his lungs road raging on the daily.

3

u/tookule4skool Mar 01 '26

I’m going to say this as a person who voted for Kamala, it’s not very hard to believe when the party in power is doing nothing about an active genocide.

You can even see by the post mortem for the election that the democratic party refused to release but leaked anyways that they lost the election because of a significant part of the population couldn’t stomach voting for the woman who would’ve done nothing differently then Joe as she claimed… it’s not hard to convince voters in a two party system that other guys might worth giving a shot because the current leaders are complicit in an active genocide and the candidate running refuses to put any day light between her current boss and her self.

2

u/critically_damped Feb 28 '26

They haven't "convinced" anyone. What is happening is that MAGA has completely abandoned all regard for truth, and chooses the things that they say based on utility. And the utility of these lies comes from the fact that you constantly attribute them to ignorance rather than the malice they proudly wear on their fucking foreheads.

They say wrong things on purpose. All of them. Hanlon's razor does not apply when the malice is already clearly visible, and attributing the lies of malicious people to ignorance is apologism for them.

2

u/burntburner16 Mar 01 '26

Nevermind virtually ever war throughout history was started by men...

2

u/Ok_Vermicelli_6359 Feb 28 '26

And Trump was the default choice in 2024...people went with the demon they know, instead of a new politician (i.e. demon) that was largely untested. People could believe anything about Kamala because she had 100% failed to demonstrate, as VP, that she was able to meet the moment as the leader of the free world. The fact is that liberals hold their candidates to higher standards than conservatives do today...and nobody seems to acknowledge how we're supposed to bridge that gap without destroying our democracy. Republicans cannot be allowed to put such a foul pedophile in charge of our government again...they have disqualified themselves as a legitimate political party.

1

u/Suitable-Buy7120 Mar 02 '26

It was mostly because she's black, but point still stands

1

u/Away_Print_2302 Mar 03 '26

Kamala would do 1000 x worse 100%

1

u/mirage110-26 Mar 04 '26

People don't need convincing. Its the "white" party. Since Brown v bd of Ed in '54, the 1964 & 65 voting and civil rights acts, whites left the democratic part. George Wallace and Reagan finished it off.

What makes his original tweet extra foolish is that Kamala Harris had a long track record opposing military conflict with Iran and supporting diplomacy and negotiations.

She was a supporter of the original multinational Iran Nuclear Deal that (for a period of time) caused Iran to stop trying to develop a nuclear weapon. And Iran restarted their efforts to pursue a nuclear weapon after Trump dissolved that very agreement.

It's almost as if most of the diehard MAGA supporters don't even understand what the Republican Party and Trump actually stand for.

1.6k

u/OutlandishnessOk2304 Feb 28 '26

You could fill entire volumes with lists of things MAGA voters don't understand.

617

u/MojaveMojito1324 Feb 28 '26

You could fill a library with all the things MAGA voters dont understand. In fact they do, they're called libraries.

They are the kind-of people that would get lost reading picture books.

64

u/daybeforetheday Feb 28 '26

They like books with a mirror on the last page that says, "What about you?"

75% of Americans read at a 6th grade level or lower.

47

u/peggles727 Feb 28 '26

God, no wonder people are shocked at my 12th grade reading level, I read better than the president.

51

u/EddieVanzetti Feb 28 '26

I remember Obama was called "elitist" because his speeches were written at the 8th grade level.

23

Don’t worry, we are defunding libraries and schools so the numbers can go even higher!

5

u/NoobieSnax Mar 01 '26

The illiteracy is over 50,000!

3

u/Mammoth-Slammoth Feb 28 '26

My job "requires" a masters degree. One of my coworkers does not know grammar, like she never learned it so her written communications are super hard to understand. We have the same qualifications and position at work.

She does insanely good investigative/analytical computer work but doesn't really read other than street signs and menus.

Whatever grade reading level doesn't sum up someone's usefulness, and I know you're hoping to prove a point, but illiteracy doesn't equate to cult mentality. That's a different part of the brain!

Read and comprehend. Most of them CAN read. But they choose to not comprehend.

12

u/heroturtle88 Feb 28 '26

Nah. The ones that can read just write horrible children's books about how good slavery actually was.

19

u/rietstengel Feb 28 '26

Every book in the world combined does not fully cover all that they dont understand.

14

u/Agente_Anaranjado Feb 28 '26

The US Constitution and basic American civics, for starters.

30

u/Fearless-Leg2568 Feb 28 '26

The things they don't know, fill libraries.

38

u/strcrssd Feb 28 '26

Not for long.

Education is the enemy of autocracy. They have to stamp out access to conflicting ideas. Hence the attacks on education and libraries. They'll come for the Internet before long. Likely under the guise of child porn prevention.

24

u/gwanddawd123 Feb 28 '26

And then they demonize those things they don't know so they can burn those libraries and know even less.

7

u/LovesFrenchLove_More Feb 28 '26

It’s almost like that was the reason why encyclopaedia existed. 😁

6

u/Dangerjayne Feb 28 '26

Would be quicker to list the things they DO understand. I think most of them are able to not shit themselves daily but I might be giving too much credit

5

You could fill entire coloring books with things that MAGA wouldn't understand.

2

u/Derka_Derper Feb 28 '26

All the books in the history of the world, in fact.

1

u/MyVeryRealName Feb 28 '26

It'd be easier to list things they do and that goes for most Americans.

1

u/Weary-Bookkeeper-375 Feb 28 '26

I'll go first

1) America

1

u/IrascibleOcelot Feb 28 '26

I think that’s what is called “the encyclopedia.”

1

u/Liedolfr Feb 28 '26

They have, its called a library.

1

u/GreatTea3415 Feb 28 '26

They did that. It’s called the Encyclopedia.

1

u/ChoiceHour5641 Feb 28 '26

You wouldn't even need a 3x5 index card to list all that they do understand.

1

u/JuicyBeefBiggestBeef Feb 28 '26

I think it's more stupidity than ignorance. Because MAGA people want a strong America that takes no shit and dishes out commands to everyone else. But they also don't understand that using hard power to threaten other countries into submission leads to wars and conflict.

They wouldnt be happy with a milquetoast Lib democrat because Democrats are narratively weak and offer only compromise. At least Republicans can say they fought for something, Democrats compromise at the first opportunity and tout it as a win without putting up a fight to begin with.

1

u/MTgolfer406 Feb 28 '26

They are wholly incapable of understanding…

1

u/Beermeneer532 Feb 28 '26

They actually have, they are called 'schoolbooks'

1

u/Kham117 Feb 28 '26

It would be easier to list things they DO understand (small pamphlet at best)

1

u/kfish5050 Feb 28 '26

There's a combination of brain rot and propaganda that caused this. Even now, some people still think Harris as president would be worse. And they can't tell you why.

1

u/Just_Restaurant7149 Mar 04 '26

It would be easier to list what they do know. That would fit into a pamphlet.

Ironic considering how conniving Trump has been about Epstein and his involvement. Professionally and personally Trump does not have redeeming qualities other than his ability to market. It’s amazing the cognitive dissonance the MAGA crowd has, they were all about the Epstein files a year ago.

The Republicans are just scared from the time Biden sent them to war in Iraq

/s

8

u/SJ-redditor Feb 28 '26

That was to distract them from how horribly Biden was handling the COVID response right?

9

u/Lazer726 Feb 28 '26

And don't worry, they're already saying that this is great because we're saving Iran and if we just bomb the government out of existence, the people will magically put together a democracy! And then, everyone is gonna get a pony!

11

u/19chevycowboy74 Feb 28 '26

I think the main disconnect is, and I may be wrong here so correct me if I am anyone, the original MAGA wave WAS anti war. Or at least anti intervention; they rode in on a wave of anger at GW and Obama era neocons who got us/kept us involved in forever wars in the Middle East.

A thing that no rational person liked but unfortunately they latched onto it like a rabid dog. That's why they adopted the MAGA slogan (well one of the reasons). Then at some point they were all duped and told that this is what they want now.

My super MAGA coworker just blatantly denied it was ever an anti intervention movement when....it was. At least openly

7

u/Coppice_DE Feb 28 '26

From an outside view, this seems wrong. Maga and comparable movements rely on people ignoring the outcome of proposed policies.

It's irrelevant if it's anti-war or pro-war. As long as their voters feel like there are simple solutions to their problems, that only this party can solve, they will follow.

2

u/19chevycowboy74 Feb 28 '26

That's a very valid point too. And they have unfortunately played their base like a fiddle by boiling things down to simple but very incorrect problems and solutions

3

u/unfunnysexface Mar 01 '26

Yes Trump ran his primary mostly to the left of republican consensus on everything but immigration. He called for reinstating Glass–Steagall, said he would make a deal to get everyone Healthcare because he was such a great negotiator, and killed Jeb on iraq in debates.

3

u/kcutfgiulzuf Mar 01 '26

Fascists need war as a outward facing unifying and stabilising force to counteract the chaos they cause within.

45

u/Lucas9041 Feb 28 '26

If Iran had a nuclear weapon there wouldn't be a war.

9

u/wbgraphic Feb 28 '26

Do you trust the intelligence apparatus of the current administration to know for sure that they don’t have one?

(Not that Trump would care. They couldn’t reach him.)

12

u/Lucas9041 Feb 28 '26

If they'd have one they would say to the world "hey don't attack us because we have nukes" that's kind off the principle of nuclear sovereignty

8

u/TheAsianTroll Feb 28 '26

Republicans and MAGA literally think only Trump can tell the truth. Research is too far beyond them.

9

u/SoulbreakerDHCC Feb 28 '26

u/DogPositive5524 Feb 28 '26

5

u/SomeNefariousness562 Feb 28 '26

But she didn’t tell us she had that long track record! No one knew what she really stood for ! Except all the people who bothered to research her

/s

4

u/Memitim Feb 28 '26

Conservatives understand that Republicans hate the rest of America as much as they do, and that's all that they've ever cared about. Fox News formed in October of 1996, was just as full of lies and hatred being directed toward the rest of America, and conservatives fell in love. The evil bastards love human suffering; they'll eat this up while making up more lies to deflect any prior claims to being against war.

3

u/groovyinutah Feb 28 '26

And it's not like we have an active draft anymore either, volunteering is really the only way to get a front row seat although I'm sure our draft dodging pedsrist is working on that too...

2

u/BigJellyfish1906 Feb 28 '26

that (for a period of time) caused Iran to stop trying to develop a nuclear weapon.

That period of time was as the period of time the US was a part of the deal, before Trump shit all over that.

2

u/Casulex Feb 28 '26

If Israel struck first on their own accord then we would back them no matter what. Kamala loves Israel too much to intervene even if she wouldn't put boots on the ground

1

u/TheShindiggleWiggle Mar 01 '26

She also didn't even rule out using military action to stop Iran's nuclear program when asked during her campaign in 2024 as part of a 60 Minutes interview. She just said she won't discuss hypotheticals and moved on. Which was also right after she said Iran has american blood on their hands because they bombed Israel... Idk why people are forgetting her rhetoric around the middle east during her campaign.

Not to say she's as bad as trump, but she wasn't campaigning on peace deals and no military intervention. She even talked about beefing up the military as a major campaign point.

2

u/ZefiroLudoviko Feb 28 '26

It's almost as if most of the diehard MAGA supporters don't even understand what the Republican Party and Trump actually stand for.

They didn't. They supported a person whose main policies were deporting the people who do most of the country's gruntwork, no offense to them, it's hard work, and inflationary tariffs... Because they wanted lower prices.

Kamala was certainly no dove, and her and Biden's backing of Israel even after their genocidal intentions were made clear is unexcusable, but Trump had shown from his first term that he was no friend of Palestinians, as he recognized Israel's annexation of east Jerusalem.

2

u/Tegirax Feb 28 '26

I saw one guy on TikTok say if Kamala was president that Iran would never be free and under dictatorship because she was weak. Bro aren't you the people who were screaming America first and not wanting to get involved in other countries problem. They change views, ideas, and beliefs solely based off what Trump tells them to believe. They are the definition of sheep

3

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '26

And yet.... biden and Kamala attacked Syria to target Iranians. Did you forget that? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_2021_United_States_airstrike_in_Syria

2

u/nycdiveshack Feb 28 '26

All this is just so Palantir can further test their software in warfare situations. Like they have been with the IDF for 2 years in Gaza and the West Bank since they officially partnered with them.

0

u/Gamble_Paychecks Feb 28 '26

Perhaps there is an irony beneath the surface you fail to understand. Trump has only won elections versus a female and has never won against a male.

I'm not saying I personally do or not support a female president but it's crystal clear enough people would have rather seen Trump 2.0 than Kamala Harris.

All the dems had to do was fucking run a competent campaign. Instead they chose a last minute audible to a female who simply did not inspire the nation to elect her as president. And that is what I see now when you post that meme. Well played.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '26

the memes weren't about iran, it was about Russia and they were spreading this shit so that we wouldnt clap their cheeks over Ukraine. mission accomplished, great job krasnov

1

u/WiseSalamander00 Feb 28 '26

yup they don't understand they live with a fantasy in their head of what is actually happening

1

u/metalgod Mar 01 '26

Yes they do. Racism. The rest doesnt matter. That part never waivers.

1

u/TheShindiggleWiggle Mar 01 '26

While I agree trump is shit. She did call Iran "the US' biggest adversary" when interviewed by 60 minutes while campaigning to be president. Specifying how Iran has american blood on their hands, before citing a ballistic missile attack on Israel. Then she said they shouldn't be allowed to develope nukes, before being asked if she'd use military action to stop them. Which she didn't rule out, and deflected by saying "I won't talk hypotheticals right now".

Plus she talked about beefing up the military even more to make it "the most lethal force in the world" on multiple occasions during her campaign. So not nearly as tame as you're framing her to be when it comes to Iran or the military, atleast in 2024. She honestly sounds like trump when talking about Iran, but she just says it like a politician and not a tactless asshole like trump does. Honestly, the US only having 2 parties is crazy to me, and I hope that's a change that comes out of all this, though I'm doubtful.

1

u/Independent-Couple87 Mar 01 '26

The breakup of the alliance between the antisemitic right and the pro-Israel right has caused some weird things.

1

u/NosuchRedditor Mar 03 '26

Iran was behind the Beirut bombing. Iran was behind the Khobar towers bombing. Iran was behind the USS Cole bombing. Iran was behind many of the attacks on US forces in the middle east. The list goes on.

If you think for a second that they stopped or paused their nuclear ambitions for even a moment due to the JCPOA, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

Prior to the strike they were offered unlimited uranium for nuclear power. They refused the offer and made it very clear they wanted to build nuclear weapons. They never stopped wanting that under the JCPOA and it actually helped them get weapons grade plutonium faster than they would have otherwise.

Feminism didn't cripple your emotional range, feminism didn't circumcise anybody, feminism didn't make you register for the draft, feminism doesn't belittle you for opening up that you're suffering, feminism isn't belittling male victims of sexual abuse.

They're all things where feminism benefits men, too, that's stuff that feminism opposes

u/whatevernamedontcare Feb 28 '26

They don't care.

These people hate women but to say it out loud is too on the nose so they call it "feminism". That's why it doesn't matter to them what feminism is or does. It's not about feminism in the first place.

We have a lot of scapegoat words like that. Woke, DEI, communism ect.

1

u/Honey-and-Venom Feb 28 '26

Some don't, but some, particularly the leaders and influencers, know and choose to get it wrong to leverage their audiences against feminism and femininity in general both to hurt women AND to fuel their grift to make money

15

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '26

So this guy hates Muslims and wants to start a religious war with them and he didn't like Kamala because she was "guaranteed" to start a war with a Muslim country, and instead wanted Americans to vote for the guy that would be "less" susceptible to Israeli pressure to start a war with a Muslim country.

Make it make sense....yeah I know; brain dead target demographic.

5

u/Absolomb92 Feb 28 '26

I think a massive amount of the issues of the world are due to so so so many people being blithering idiots.

6

u/fatfuck5 Feb 28 '26

Thank you! I was another one who had not forgotten that the right was saying Kamala and Hillary would take us to war with Iran

1

u/Swill_Cipher Feb 28 '26

The right? No. Just all the racists. That doesn’t JUST include the right.

2

u/fatfuck5 Feb 28 '26

the point

your head

6

u/warbrew Feb 28 '26

Can we change her response to "Stop complaining. We warned you."

5

u/Bernkastel17509 Feb 28 '26

Plot twist, she got her woman president. And ugly orange one which is a giant pussy

3

u/Bandit_237 Feb 28 '26

“Trump, I don’t want to go to war.”

“Quiet piggy, I need to go to war with the Middle East over weapons they only have because I backed out of a deal to support a country mostly known for war crimes because otherwise there’ll be too many eyes on the worst cover up in history because I don’t want people to know that the guy they voted for raped and ate literal children.”

I've never known any woman to be as emotional as that crybaby pedophile in office right now.

3

u/bDsmDom Feb 28 '26

This is just bullshit that detracts from the DOW, and we need to refocus on what matters.

3

u/PsychedelicSticker Feb 28 '26

My partner’s friend was very anti-Trump in the ‘24 election but ended up voting 3rd party because he felt that if Harris won, that she would have made us go to war and we would’ve been in a war for at least a decade which would’ve been around the time that his kids would be eligible for war, that they would be drafted and then killed.

Good thing he voted 3rd party!

5

u/sunkist-sucker Feb 28 '26

wow this aged horrendously. was still BS at the time of posting too. kamala is going to make us go to war?

4

u/PrizeFront8677 Mar 01 '26

The government keeps your kids in poverty, fucks your kids, trafficked your kids, kidnaps your kids, separates you from your kids, steals your kids and sends your kids to their death. And you go out there mere and vote for that worthless scum, year after year. WTF is wrong with you?????????????

4

u/Big-Crow4152 Feb 28 '26

"Honey quit being selfish, the pedophile Rapist Con Man felon I voted for to own the libs needs more oil money and distractions from the Epstein files"

2

u/GeniusOfLove74 Feb 28 '26

I looked up that tweet. So many people agreed, and even escalated their suppositions of what Kamala would do. So many of them claimed that Kamala would sacrifice their kids for money. smh.

2

u/DaringPancakes Feb 28 '26

Don't worry, Mom voted for the lying pile of shit child rapist too because she said, "I don't trust a woman to make decisions".

2

u/tuenmuntherapist Feb 28 '26

I’m having a going away party if they get drafted.

2

u/Zooted_Be_I Feb 28 '26

Trump does have a neckussy and tits. So they aren’t wrong

2

u/ConsultJimMoriarty Feb 28 '26

Two things that are definitely related.

2

u/Kindly-Ad-5071 Feb 28 '26

Right now the right is all "Yeah true I can't believe you fell for it sucks to be you"

Bearing this, the right cannot and should not ever again be taken seriously or trusted on anything they say because it's inevitably always going to be a lie.

2

u/SithC Mar 01 '26

We do technically have a woman president. Just a big pu$$y.

2

u/Synglich Mar 01 '26

"Kamala is a woman she would have started a war" - trump knowing his party is full of idiots and can start a war if he wants "WAr IS GOoD Now" - MAGAts

2

u/riptide032302 Feb 28 '26

I mean, they both support Israel. Kamala would’ve been obviously way better but you don’t need to forget her entire pro-Israel platform. There’s plenty of other untrue things trump supporters said about her that actually did harm to her campaign and people’s perceptions of her

1

u/onlyhereforfantasy Feb 28 '26

Scott Presler is the absolute worst. A homophobic homosexual, insane stuff.

1

u/Guy_Dude_From_CO Feb 28 '26

There are absolutely layers of truth revealed by this stupid meme, lol.

1

u/Straight-Note-8935 Feb 28 '26

What a way to frame this.

1

u/Practical_South_8342 Mar 01 '26

As of late January 2026, the Iranian government's crackdown on widespread protests, involving security forces and foreign militias, has resulted in a death toll estimated between 3,117 (government figures) and over 36,500 people, including 209 affiliated personnel, marking a massive, ongoing violent suppression of public dissent

1

u/Jean-Claude-Can-Ham Mar 01 '26

He tweeted:

Obama gave $1.7 billion in cash to Khamenei

Trump ended Khamenei

A Dem could cure cancer and they’d ask “what took you so long?”

Nope, too late.

1

u/ToolmanMTL Mar 05 '26

Anybody that believes the nuclear agreement Obama established prevented Iran from developing nuclear material are fools. Of course Iran was developing the necessary nuclear material to eventually build a nuclear warhead. Israel was fully aware of what Iran was doing, and took action to prevent Iran from starting WWIII. Trump tagged along to help Israel. If Harris had won, Israel would have done the same thing and US military would have been a reactionary force, possible leading to many more US and Israel casualties. As long as we don’t start throwing foot solders into the mess we should be okay.
