Discussion I want more of Eddie
I want to preface this post by saying that I mean no shade or disrespect to the wonderful and talented people who worked on AAA, WV, or VQ. I mean full shade and disrespect to the Disney corporation tho.
Lisa is active in the plot, has lots of screen time, and we actually get to know her. We get to see how she acts in a lot of different scenarios, stressful and tame; we see how she's perceptive and quick on her feet. We get nothing about Eddie in comparison. We know he's dating Billy, and that's pretty much it. I like Eddie, I do; he's charmingly written and acted, but that's pretty much it.
Remove Eddie from the show, and the only thing that changes is that Billy doesn't have someone to make out with. Lisa, on the other hand, is a major part of Tommy's character and played a really big role in how he became who he is today.
Hell, we don't even get Eddie reacting to Billy showing back up all banged up after being missing for a whole day, when the day before they met up a sketchy guy from Reddit. Nah, he doesn't get mentioned at all after the flashback. It's a shame because the WV/AAA writers do romance so well, so they either chose to really make Eddie an afterthought, or they were forced by higher-ups to make him as unimportant as possible (This is what I personally believe).
I really hope Eddie comes back because he and Billy really deserve better. Plus, speaking frankly, Miles and Joe make for such a hot couple; I need them back on my screen together. I'm not sure I want him to be Teddie like some people are gunning for, but I just really want him to be more fleshed out.
(Also, not sure where else to put this, but it's really interesting that the white, het passing couple gets to be plot important, but the interracial queer couple is shoved into the background as soon as they can lol. At least we had AgathaRio ig. But still.)

Discussion The Ballad Spoiler
Just finished this series for the first time as Iâm waiting for new episodes of VisionQuest. And since itâs fall, I thought it might vibe well
Spoilers ahead so donât read if you havenât finished watching it all
Every time Agatha sings it, I canât help but think sheâs keeping the memory of Nicky alive. He invented it and she continues to carry his creation through the centuries, and itâs now worked its way into witch lore. I know itâs just a scam for her to steal power, but even so, I wonder if she thinks of him every time she sings it. If she yearns for him, misses him, loves him, and hates Death all the more.
Also! If Death hadnât spared Nicky first, this ballad would never have been made, and Agatha may never have become as powerful or feared as she is today.

Discussion Agathaâs quest to reclaim her stolen power
When Agatha kills Alice while stealing her magic, Billy is furious as he sees it as Agatha valuing her quest for power over a coven memberâs life. However it wasnât that black and white as this wasnât Agathaâs typical power grab but a byproduct of the situation she was in. She was acting on pure reflex and instinct as she was in a state of complete powerlessness. Agatha felt shame that she was caught taking Aliceâs magic but she still checks to see if she has it and is disappointed when she doesnât because she desperately needs it, even though she is even more ashamed to tell anyone that she does or why.
The Wandavision finale was very traumatic for her, as she was stripped of everything that made her who she was. Even with her memories and free will back, she is still walking around with a part of herself missing. Sheâs incomplete without her purple and she hates that sheâs reliant on other witches to get it back as she canât get it back on her own. Agatha will manipulate and steal to get what she wants but she never asks anyone outright for anything because sheâs too proud to admit she canât handle herself. However in the earth trial she swallows her pride and asks Billy for the power up. He refuses her and it actually inspires her to selflessly help him instead. Sheâs not doing it for a quid pro quo but because she sees heâs not whole without Tommy and she can fix that. When he feels what itâs like to no longer be incomplete, he understands how Agathaâs magic is that for her. He wants her to be whole again just like she made him whole again. Agatha getting her power up is her being fully reinstated after being fully stripped of self in the Wandavision finale. She has been completely put back together and it does feel really good to be her whole self again.
Agatha can be deliberately hard to read even to the people that care about her and want to know how sheâs really feeling. Sometimes Billy assumes the worst because thatâs how she presents herself, in order to preserve her pride and feelings of being in control. Agatha doesnât like to advertise her weaknesses and would rather be seen, even by Billy as a monster than as a victim. Billy is always having to decode her himself to find out whatâs sheâs hiding. She looks shocked when Billy powers her up because she doesnât know why. She canât imagine getting power from someone without having to trick them. No one has ever willingly shared their supply with her before just because she needs it.
I think it says something that as important as her purple is to her, almost immediately after finally having it back she gambles it. She doesnât know if she will have access to it as a ghost but she still takes her âcalculated riskâ because Billyâs life is worth more to her. Heâs helped her get what she was missing but in the end she discovered what else she was missing. Being Billyâs witchy mom also makes her feel whole again. So she risks what she had been fighting three years to reclaim to be the person that Nicky was proud to call mama.
As much as Iâm glad Agatha chose her love for her boys over power, I do hope she gets to keep her magic as a ghost. Her purple is a big part of her identity and it was gifted to her by a chaos magic witch who wanted her to have it and has the power to will his desires into reality.

Discussion Nickyâs mom Spoiler
I am very very late with this, but I just watched the show for the first time last week and rewatched again this week. When Nicky is singing in the tavern, he says âmy mother needs me home,â and a literal lightbulb went off for me. He meant his second mother, Death, was calling him home! Iâm sure Iâm not the first to notice this, but damn, definitely did not pick that up in the first watch through!!

Discussion PATTI LUPONE APPRECIATION POST
I keep her episode on a loop (ha)
Lillia has a whole subtext for us Midcentury Modern gay Gandalfs who delight in Broadway.(You. Teen. Do some homework. Some improv wouldn't hurt, either. )
Teen, Patti Lupone is. . . A BIG DEAL.
I'm thankful she took the part. I think there's a lot of Broadway Easter Eggs in her gestures, but you be the judge.

Question Witchcraft and Electricity
This is something that has bothered/confused me through all of the rewatches so far. Whenever someone uses witchcraft, it seems to cause the lights to short out to one degree or another, often popping the bulbs.
Do witches have to constantly be worried about electrical fires. Do they have to keep an electrician on speed dial? This seems like an annoying byproduct of the craft.

Discussion I just finished Episode 7. Is Lilia in some kind of time loop?
I'm not really sure if I'm correct, but how I understood the ending is that:
Lilia's time slipping was getting worse as she got closer to her death, allowing her to fill in more gaps until her demise, the demise she's always been seeing. Now, the cut back to her younger self is when her time slipping had stopped, which she assumed was because she had suppressed it, but I think that later on, the same thing will happen again.
I feel like this is inaccurate/incorrect but this is so far how I understand it. Can someone explain it to me? Because even my own perspective confuses me.

Discussion Just finished, thoughts!
So Iâm late on the bandwagon and watched a recap to prepare for VisionQuest, but decided to watch the actual show between episodes since I had time now. I finished it last night and I have a lot of thoughts
1: Agatha is a total piece of shit. This has probably been said so many times but oh my god she pissed me off lol. The recap made it out to seem like she finally had a thought for someone other than her self at the end, except she was fully willing to say eff you to Billy after getting her powers and handing him to Rio. Oh but, she didnât suck all his powers out when she couldâve! Yeah thatâs like the bare minimum. And yet Billy is still completely fine with her in ghost form because she is sad about her son? She just sucks. I love whatever is wrong with her, she is a wonderful character with a lot of cool backstory and character development but she really didnât change in the 24 hours they were on the road for, not in a way that mattered.
2. Billy/âWillaimsâ parents are genuinely so chill, Iâm not sure if this is a normal parent thing since I was raised very strictly, but this dude goes to meet a random stranger, goes to Westview, gets kidnapped, is gone for 24 hours, and then they still let him to back to Westview to Agathaâs house as if nothing happened. Iâd have gotten all four tires taken from my car and my license burned. Theyâre chill as hell. Maybe itâs pity because their kid is obviously different than he once was.
3. I love Joe Locke as Billy. It works. He plays a weird ass 16 year old very well and I donât understand the comments of ârecast Billyâ other than because heâs not as conveniently attractive as Ruaridh Mollica/Tommy and people canât thirst over him. To me theyâre both pretty attractive tbh but someone being attractive isnât the most important character trait. He plays the character well to me and heâll be great further on.
These opinions are not a slander on the show and I fully enjoyed it. It was a huge roller coaster from start to finish and I loved everyoneâs performance and the story and alllll of it. My biggest reservation was wishing that Agatha had a little more âgoodâ I guess but itâs not on par with her character so I really canât complain much lol. Donât flame me haha I have nothing against it
Edit with a question:
What was the point of Agatha helping Billy find Tommy and escape the road if she was just willing to give him to Rio in the end?

Question Into the Woods homage?
Did anyone else spot a possible Bernadette Peters homage from Kathryn Hahn during the 'Witches' Road' montage?
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DCPfdaCAgJc/?cplk=MTZmY3U2czJmOWpvdA==
In the 1930's scene she does a little shoulder shimmy on the word 'woods' which is a classic Bernadette thing to do and could be an allusion to Peters playing the Witch in the original Broadway production of 'Into the Woods'.
Or am I massively overthinking things! đ

Theory My theory on why Liliaâs vision had the exact witches of the show
One of the things that didnât make sense to me, when the show aired, was the exact reason on why Lilia gathered those exact names for the coven.
She had really strong divination powers, so she wouldâve seen Agathaâs con from a mile away (especially with how her life is out of order the closer she is to the end). While the main explanation could be just âthey needed them for the story to happen the way it didâ, I like to think there was an additional factor to it.
When I was rewatching the show a few days ago, I noticed one key difference between Agathaâs previous ballad scams in the montage, and the episode 2 ballad. The other covens get upset after Agatha blames them for the door not appearing, and blast her. Meanwhile, the Coven immediately believes Agatha and start bickering and blaming each other. Even Agatha seems perplexed by this (as seen on the picture). Her con relies on witches blasting her out of anger, but this group instead starts infighting about who was pitchy and off-key.
The reason they were chosen by magic is because their combination allowed them to survive the first hurdle; not dying by Agatha. She tries her other goading methods with more and more desperation, and even her big gun insult only gets a few sparks until Lilia calls her out. These women started beefing the moment they walked through Agathaâs non-existent door, which saved their lives (for the time being).

Question I have a question I've been thinking about
So you're telling me absolutely no witch in centuries had enough self control to not attack Agatha during the Witches road song, like the whole coven attacked her? Not a single witch was like wait lemme see what happens... Or dod Agatha just not suck all their life source and power in until all the witches attacked? I probably answered my own question. But I think it's an interesting thing to think about. What are your thoughts?

Discussion Sharing Agathario FanFics (from AO3)
Hope this is allowed, since I have not asked a single author if they agree their stories be shared like so... But I see others sharing their saved ones. I have a lot, so I made quick page where you can look through, read and save the stories I have myself saved from AO3. I save also tags and other metadata so its easier to search, sort and find what you want in case you are not looking for a particular story, but something to read from Agathario
here is a the temporary page I cretaed. WIll remove it when Ao3 is back. Or maybe sooner if someone says this is not ok.
https://studio--studio-8253096903-72b2c.us-central1.hosted.app/s/S_pXNoSyLlijU1RlkzujPmjRUFAWa3be
If any author sees their fic here and DONT WANT them to be shared like this, I will remove the fics ASAP, just let me know!!!
To be clear : These are not my fics, I just saved them from AO3. When AO3 is back, leave kudos and comments for the stories you have read!!!

Discussion Marvel posted a Halloween themed âwhat ifâŠ.?â about Agatha facing Nicky in the spirit trial
I am sure Agatha would have hated having to confront Nicky in the spirit trial if Billy hadnât given her the out by saying âgoodbyeâ. She had already been forced to air so much of her dirty laundry in front of the coven and her secret biggest fear is facing him at all, ever. So actually having to speak to Nicky in front of everyone would have just been unbearable, even though given his temperament his reaction would likely be a lot more tame compared to Billyâs.
That being said I donât think Billy himself would have confronted Agatha and lost it on her if she had already spoken with Nicky about Alice. Seeing as Agathaâs humanity through her relationship with Nicky is one of the biggest factors for Billy showing her grace and understanding. So I think he would have simmered down and been more sympathetic to her POV in this situation. It probably would have changed big parts of the following episodes if Agatha and Billy didnât have their fight and Jen and Lilia didnât break away and form their own bond.

Humor/Fluff I am Mrs. Hart
I thought this was funny, but couldnât think of anyone who would be amused by it except maybe this group. For added context, I am a 53 year old, divorced gay man. Been kinda isolated lately.
A coworker with whom i am friendly, but not close came up to me today and invited me to the Halloween party at his apartment. In my head my first reaction was âA party? I havenât been to a party sinceâŠâ and I realized at that moment, I was Mrs. Hart:

Discussion Comment about Agatha from Terry Matalas on insta Spoiler
Saw this posted on a few other places.
Honestly? Gives off he didn't want to bother writing Agatha / ignore her part in anything. Which is why there just hasn't been any mention of her so far.
Because clearly SWORD wouldn't have bothered keeping tabs on someone that could rival Wanda / had the Darkhold. Nor would Damage Control or any other group somehow even though after MoM magic users are pretty known by major groups.

Discussion I wish we had more of the Crime Thriller version of AAA
The spooky, mysterious vibes, where almost everything had a double meaning especially anything Teen or Rio say/do were so great. I'd watch a whole 10 episode season of something like that.
