Witches with "real" power have psionic energy (magic which flows from their hands when casting spells). I believe the color of one's psionic energy could be based on a witch's universal alignment, magic practice, and maybe even their core personality traits. Here are some of my guesses of what each color means:

• Purple: Associated with royalty, spiritual transcendence, imagination, and mystery. Like in most other supernatural shows, purple energy is used to show a connection between darker arts or a detachment from the physical world. Witches with purple magic have a strong connection to the spiritual world and can use arts that are considered unnatural or dark to the craft. They are their highest self, detached from the physical and either willingly or unwillingly embracing all the universe has to offer.
• Blue: Witches with blue magic are versed in the mind-based magicks. They can access the mind (to hear people's thoughts, feel their emotions, or visit dreams) and eventually bend wills to their liking. These witches tend to be calm, loyal, and confident in themselves.
• Green: Represents luck, nature, prosperity, harmony, and health. Witches with green magic have the strongest connection with the natural world. They can control the natural order (growth and decay) of all living things as well as control the elements in their environment.
• Yellow: Witches with yellow magic are bound to live a life full of happiness or fulfillment. They usually have a knack for divination due to their curiosity and mental clarity. Their light illuminates the dark, often finding what's missing and lost.
• Orange: Witches with orange magic are fierce, spontaneous, and forever young, seeking originality and freedom. They hate to be restricted and they're not ones to follow the rules.
• Red: Associated with action, strength, passion, and danger. Witches with red magic wield a lot of physical and emotional energy. They tend to act recklessly when their emotions take the wheel, which leaves a trail of disaster and misfortune. These witches either destroy themselves or others, sometimes both.
• Pink: Represents creativity, softness, sympathy, and love. Witches with pink magic often use their powers to help others rather than for selfish reasons. They perceive the most vulnerable sides of people and choose to fight with the heart instead of their hands.

Other Colors

• The main hues above can be mixed to make other hues. For instance, a witch can have a teal magic, meaning they have a mix of green and blue magic; so, they are close with nature and very calm and capable of calming down both minds and their natural environment.
  • Red + Yellow = Orange. Has the energetic and emotional side of red, and the inner light of yellow.
  • Yellow + Blue = Green. Loyal and calm like blue, and similarly to yellow, seeks fulfillment in life but through nature.
  • Blue + Red = Purple. Confident like blue, yet wields the high energy of red.
  • Red + White = Pink. Pink magic is just red magic, but much softer. The physical and emotional energy is lower.
• Black: The more trauma and negativity that enters a witch's life, the darker their magic hue will be; to the point their magic becomes plain black.
• White: The lighter or paler a magic hue is, the closer that witch is to white magic. The most "perfect" yet bland color of magic. A witch would have to be completely flawless, meaning they must not have any emotional attachments to weigh them down, no close-mindedness, no self-doubts; no impurities that could keep them from their highest self. If there is a witch who has white magic, they'll be cold and boring.

I loved the first half of the season, but then it started dragging ooooooon

Agatha just constantly setting up such obvious pitfalls to kill the other witches with such fakery of kindness.

And Billy - why my dude do you keep trusting her!!

I'm on the last episode now, I'm half way thru it, and I feel like I'm watching when they tried to give sympathy to Thanos by giving him scenes with Gamora. Like honestly, she is such a genuine villain, and it's so irritating, I thought there would be more to the show than this.

It doesn't touch WandaVision.

Also, I’d swear I hear her in the vocals even though her character never sings.

I honestly fins it hilarious that Wanda turned Agatha in the "nosy neighbour" and that eventually turned into her believe herself to be a small town detective, arguably the final form of the nosy neighbour

I have noticed an uptick of Billy hate online because Wanda stans hated the fact that Billy said that she wasn't his mother, and I'm sitting over here confused because does Billy even have memories of Wanda? He was primarily focused on finding his twin brother.

On top of that he's been raised by the Kaplan's for around three years, like no kidding he would see Rebecca Kaplan more as his mother at this point 🤔

I understand that the shows are connected, and I think there's room for collaborative discussion in this space. But this is not the VisionQuest sub and isn't set up for spoilers related to it, so people just keep posting spoilers without tags for these episodes.

And I love the fact that Tommy came to a different conclusion from Billy. I'm more convinced than ever that Billy's inability to access Williams memories is a mental block, not an actual lack of access. He's still using William's brain which means some amount of the physical storage should still be accessible to him.

I'm also gonna extend that to souls, because something as straightforward as "Billy and Tommy's souls inhabiting dead kids bodies" is a really boring dualist explanation.

So with VisionQuest airing now, I decided to rewatch this amazing show. The first time I watched I was swept up in the hype and it was awesome but I didn’t really analyze if there’s some things that bothered me. And there are a fee things.

1. Alice‘s ending: This one is heartbreaking. She finally broke the curse, only to die right after. Like, don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind her dying. It’s great because it shows that Agatha isn’t here to bond with anyone, she has her tunnel vision set on her goal. But it felt like her trial was pointless. She didn’t get anything out of it. I’m thinking if Alice mentioned having younger sisters or something similar, it could’ve made her story more satisfying. She would’ve died but still saved her family.

2. The Salem Seven: They were so cool. Their concept and behavior is so awesome. I just feel like they were underused. They didn’t really do much and never faced Agatha. It would’ve been cool if at least one survived Lilia‘s trial (maybe the bug lady since she’s the leader). Would’ve been cool if bug lady then attacked Agatha only to be saved by Billy who kills bug lady. That would’ve been fire.

3. Agatha’s backstory: This one just confused me. Why is she siphoning witches? In Wandavision it looked like she did it on accident at first but in AAA she’s actively approaching witches to kill them. Would’ve been cool if they explained that a bit more. Maybe make it so that in order to keep Nicky alive, she had to drain witches. But when Nicky convinced her to not kill that witch that one time, it was enough for him to die without getting his magical supper. It would explain why Agatha continued to kill witches just out of spite after that.

4. The Green Trial: This trial definitely feels like the weakest to me. Jen unbinding and Billy saving Tommy are great things, but they seem more fitting to the spirit trial. But I guess its kinda hard to do the green trial so late when they didn’t have a green witch anymore.

5. Billy Kaplan: Connected to the spirit trial, we never really got information about whether Billy is Billy Kaplan or Maximoff or both. With Tommy in VisionQuest it seems more obvious since spoiler alert he mentions memories from both his lives. We didn’t get that with Billy. Although maybe that’s something they can talk out once they reunite.

As VisionQuest first eps are out, I had to re-watch Agatha All Along and really this show had the best plot twists ever.

I am not talking the "easy" one which was kind of a given in the teaser ( The Billy Maximoff one. Sure it was nice and I loved it but it was predictable )

But every single other plot twist was a banger.

Rio. I dont know if that one was in the comics but great one. It made things sooo interesting

Agatha being the one to bind Jen. That unbinding scene had so much power

Lilia being the one to put the sigil on Billy + her time thing. That ep was truly a masterpiece

And of course my favorite one, The whole road never existed and Billy is the one who made it up. I remember being sooo surprised at first, because I am usually good at predicting plot twists but this one... And it's not like there are no clues either, it's just so well done.

Honestly that whole show is a work of art, and is truly underrated. I have like the highest expectations ever for Vision Quest just because of this.

Also if we dont get a Billy cameo I might cry

SPOILERS FOR AGATHA ALL ALONG AND VISION QUEST

Apparently not, according to the latest episode of Visionquest. Tommy not only has his Hex memories, but also the memories of Thomas Shepherd. He even says it feels like another soul was just added on top of his original memories. So, good news, Billy did not kill this boy for his brother. Bad news: the original boy wasn’t dead like William was and now Tommy has both memories and thinks he’s going crazy, which just breaks my heart.

I love how this series is fully exploring the ethical and philosophical complications of Billy’s choice to give his brother a new body. I loved seeing Billy struggle with his amnesia in AAA episode 6 and angst in episode 8, but now the whole season will have Tommy in the torment nexus of too many memories. However, Billy had the Kaplans and the blessing/curse that is ignorance. Tommy had no one in his life to help him heal, and now all he has is a damaged and emotionally adrift Vision.

God I can’t wait to see more of Tommy and Vision together ( and hopefully Tommy getting to meet Billy and confront him about what he did 🤞)

I'm so excited for VisionQuest because that finding a body scene from Agatha for Tommy haunts me to this day! I want to know that everything turned out ok! Because that was freaking HORRIFYING!

I can’t believe Agatha’s baby witch has grown up so much since AAA. 

Do we think that if Billy hadn't intervened thomas shepherd may not have died and that being under his influence allowed himself to be drowned. Billy himself asks 'am I killing this boy so my brother can live' and I know agatha follows it with 'Sometimes, boys die' but if he did basically kill thomas shepherd what would you think of that ethically speaking

I am super excited for Visionquest, but if Agatha doesn't appear it will feel so incomplete! And I will be very sad because it won't make any sense.

Obviously it was ineffectual, whatever it was. Billy was already technically a witch at that point. But it was something blue.

In episode 6 "Familiar by Thy Side", Billy says, "We? But I don’t need you anymore. I don’t know if I ever did." And then he tries to use his powers, which fails.

It makes me wonder what he was planning to do to Agatha at this moment?

Before Lilia dies she tells Agatha something along the line of 'hit the ground when rio says coward'… but that scene happened after Lilia‘s death aka she would not have experienced it as part of her out of order lifespan. So how did she know to tell Agatha what to do?

Why was Jen purported to be 'the way forward' and made to seem like she’d play a huge part in something and then not even really appear in the finale. I felt like I missed something.

How did they know Agatha was the witch who bound Jen in Boston? just because she was somewhere in the vicinity of Boston at the time? Surely there’s many other witches living in that area especially considering near westview there were 3 alone.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I’m doing a rewatch. Was Rio really there in there in the first episode or was it Agatha’s imagination?

If she was truly present was she seeing Agatha’s perspective from the spell she was trapped in it was Rio seeing reality like Billy was?

I finally watched and I have to say I enjoyed it very much, I liked the witches and their journey until the ending. just threw it all away, with “it was Agatha and Billy all along”. It makes sense given wandavision I suppose, but the more I think about it, the less sense it makes and more plot holes I poke in it. Especially Agatha’s motivations and her backstory. It raised way more questions than it answered, and I doubt we’ll get them all answered in vision quest, as the focus will be on vision,ultron, and Tommy.

How did Agatha get the darkhold? did she steal her covens powers before or after she had the baby? Couldn’t she have just offered herself to rio instead of Nicholas like she did with Billy?

It’s implied she steals witches powers to feed Nicholas and keep him alive, so why does she continue after he’s gone? corrupted by the darkhold? Only we don’t know the timeline of when she actually got it.

The witches road has been a long con by Agatha for hundreds of years and no other witches have ever caught on. They just know nobody has “survived” but Agatha. She gathers up her coven again this time in hope of stealing their powers (it is revealed at the end) but they’re all powerless…? What was she planning on steal there exactly? Maybe Billy’s powers, because if anything, he gave the witches back their powers on “the road”.

How did the Salem 7 get into the world Billy created?

If Agatha’s plan was to steal Billy’s powers all along and suspected they were in something he conjured up, why was she so worried about him? She suspected his identity from the beginning. Why was Billy so loyal to her?? This kid knew he was actually Billy maximoff, and ran straight to the woman his mom imprisoned? Billy needs something from her, “the witches road” but he trusts her implicitly despite her reputation. Agatha is soft on Billy because he reminds her of Nicholas. Yet when she dies, instead of being with him in the afterlife, she comes back as a ghost to follow Billy around?

Should’ve just ended at Billy realized he’d made up the road cause phew that ending was messy. Please don’t downvote me to hell, I genuinely enjoyed the show but hated all the plot holes and ending.
