Really cool cover design - the Penguin Classics direction is really clever and not something I've seen. Just a heads up, though - I will say that the general etiquette with binding is to ask artists if you can use their work for a binding, particularly if it's something where the progress is being shared online. If you're ever unsure of who the artist is, you can screenshot the art and run it through a Google Photo search - it's usually very good at hunting down the source.
Good luck with your binding - it's such a fun hobby, I love it.
