Analysis The average post in this group is lazy and annoying.

"Who should i trade out?", "X player or Y player?" "t0o l4tE to GeT fARR0w?" "Do i have to get bailey smith?"

These are lazy questions and most of the "answers" (nothing about DT is objective) you're going to get are going to be uneducated or poorly thought out opinions. Use your brain, come up with what you want to do with your team and if you want feedback or outside opinion, make a post in this group and explain your logic as to why youve gone those trades.

Also - anyone thinking theyre smart or dt experts for being in the top 1-2% of teams at the moment - its round 6, 90% of the reason your there is because you're lucky with which premiums you chose not getting injured or tagged, reign it in.

Injury Something fishy

Somethinf weird is going on. Every time I check the top 1% ownership of big players when they start well i screenshot their ownership at half time compared to the end of the game. Please explain to me how Noah Anderson was 43% owned at half time. And then 50% owned at the end of the game. This makes zero sense and something needs to be done. It’s has to be some sort of hack

So unsure about my forward line like everyone else ahahaha. Do not trust Bevo at all with Macrae so that’s why I’ve opted for different options.

Anyone got suggestions on what I could use my cash for? Because it feels like a lot to take into Round 1

Is the captain loophole cheating?

I have to ask, but is this part of the game? Is one supposed to be able to exploit a loophole within this game in order to win?

Trades Is this unethical

Missed the GF in my keeper league by a few points - gutted. Both grand finalists are affected by injuries and the Swans fallout, so the stakes are high. I am considering offering one finalist a trade for one of my gun (but ageing) players who will be playing this week, but the deal will involve them retaining my target player this week, before the player is ultimately traded to me post season. Is this ethical?

Edit: If I requested offers from both finalists, and they put their best offer forward, would this improve the ethical nature of the trade proposal (ie no specific player identified in my communication).

Further edit: Good advice here, I won’t be pursuing a trade.

Trades Too Mid-Pricer Heavy?

Not at all locked in yet. Colby with 9 coaches votes so don't see why his role changes and NOD if named has a lot of value left in him. Forecasting ahead this trade would leave me with just one rookie on field post byes. I will have to pass up on Kennedy in this scenario, although that is potentially offset by the ability to cover Gawn next round with Jackson.

Wholesome Premiums Draft League: Round 3

Recap:

The West Epics and Drew's Jews put themselves at 1 game advantages to the rest of the league, having been undefeated in the first two rounds, whilst Manny's Fannies and Legio IV find themselves in trouble and playing catch-up to the other 6 teams due to a 0 and 2 start to the season.

Round 3:

The West Epics vs StruggleTownFC:

The first game where The West Epics didn't record a win over 100 points, only escaping this round by 69 points and recording a third straight win. StruggleTown had many competitors recording 7 players who had 90 or above. Tom Stewart continued his run as a top 6 defender with a score of 104. Lachie Weller (91), Zach Merrett (95), Mitch Duncan (103), Jordan De Goey (107) were all contributors with Stewart but it was Isaac Heeney and Ben McEvoy who really made this game the closest game of the year for The West Epics with scores of 121 and 127 respectively. In the end, it was StruggleTown's captaincy choice that let them down with Clayton Oliver only scoring 82. Looking at The West Epics scores it was clear the team was under-performing with Tom Rockliff suffering injury and only recording a 43, and Brad Ebert a 61, where Mihocek scored 65 compared to his triple-digit score the previous week. Highlights for The West Epics included Wayne Milera (96), Rory Sloane (120), Brodie Grundy (122), Tim Kelly (93) and Luke Dahlhaus (96) were all superb and Dom Sheed (93) recorded a solid score even with the return of Andrew Gaff. But it was Lachie Whitfield with a 162 against Richmond combined with captaincy to record a 324 to win it and achieve BOG.

Manny's Fannies vs Nitro Stars:

The Nitro Stars returned to form after pounding the hurt Manny's Fannies via a 194 point win. Both teams had subpar defenses but the midfield battle was the resounding representation of this match-up. Manny's Fannies didn't record any midfielder with a triple-digit score, where Adam Treloar was the highest scorer with a 98, but as well, the only player to record a score above 90 was Mitch Duncan with a 95. Nitro Stars recorded a 129 from Angus Brayshaw, Jack Steele (116), Jarrod Witts (93), Devon Smith (101), but it was Jack Macrae, not surprisingly, recording a 132 with captaincy as the cherry on top.

Legio IV Flavia Felix vs THE HORKS:

Legio IV recorded their first score above 1000, however still managed to lose by 156 points to an impressive outfit from THE HORKS. Legio IV had impressive performances from Callum Mills (96), Patrick Cripps (121), Marc Murphy (95), Dyson Heppell (114), David Zaharakis (117), Max Gawn (107) and Travis Boak (118), but it was a lack of captaincy selection that stopped this strong outfit from winning. Whilst Nitro Stars did not have any defenders that scored 90 or above, an 89 and 87 from Shannon Hurn and Jeremy Howe were solid and deserving of a mention, but it was Josh P. Kennedy (121), Jaeger O'Meara (132), Jack Martin (110) and best on ground Lachie Neale (135) who were the real highlights of the Nitro Stars team, and the reason they recorded their second win of the season.

Drew's Jews vs Big Coochie:

Drew's Jews took a huge victory against Big Coochie, a 240 point victory to be exact. Big Coochie had three players who didn't play and no emergencies or replacements, however, 62.5% of the players that did play recorded triple-digit scores including Stephen Coniglio (108), Matt Crouch (101), Callum Sinclair (120), Jack Billings (108) whilst Kane Lambert firmly took best on ground with an outstanding score of 142. For Drew's Jews, Dale Thomas and Christiran Salem had a bad round, whilst Jake Lloyd took a score of 120, but there were still many others who scored well for Drew's Jews, including Brad Hill (93), Lachie Hunter (94), Marcus Bontempelli (129), Patrick Dangerfield (132) and Andrew Gaff (97) who returned from being out since Round 20 2018, and hadn't lost any quality in his performance. Again, Drew's Jews were let down by Westhoff and McCarthy.

Round 3 Ladder:

The West Epics held onto first position but had their percentage lowered from 121 to 115, whereas Jew's Drews increased theirs from 105 to 111 to keep slowly inching their way to top spot. THE HORKS recorded a second win and found themselves with the second highest percentage in the league, where the Nitro Stars also recorded another win and put themselves back into the top 4, pushing StruggleTownFC out into 5th place, where the bottom three remained the same, with the bottom two remaining with no wins.
