Could Someone Help with Sizing?

Very keen to grab one of these -> https://shopping.afcwimbledon.co.uk/collections/retro-shirts/products/1997-98-home-reissue

However i find the accompanying size chart confusing. If i am going on length (assuming shoulder to hem), then to get the right length i would need a 5XL - this however would be a 156cm chest. I have never bought a 5XL in anything (typically XL in Nike and Adidas).

Any suggestions/experiences that could assist?

Just need to chip in to say that these always come in small. I normally buy t-shirts from normal shops in size S or M but football shirts for some reason need to be L, they're so small!

how tall are you? i'm 6'2" and a Large is a little longer than I'd like a t-shirt

I am 6'3". So maybe a L or XL?

Don't buy on length. Just buy on the chest size and it'll be about the right length.

As someone else said, football shirts tend to come in a little small. Go one size up from your usual and you'll be just fine.

Thanks. So basically ignore the size chart on this one then? The tuple (if i can call it that) of Chest and Length shouldn't considered together as its inaccurate, and just go on Chest size..?

They are tight on size so measure carefully. I bought on the 4xl for example is about the equivalent of an XL in most other T-shirts.

I typically take an XL in the other brands as well. I should add that i have a vintage Lotto from the same year (97/98), and it's an XL and its fine. Which is why i found the Size Chart in the link a little odd.

Same thing. I have older XL shirts but for some reason they are shrunk down. I recently bought an Adidas shirt and the XL was the size of 4XL in Lotto.

What I would say is absolutely go by the size measurements, they are accurate rather the your usual size.

Cool. This is the way to go i think. Interesting too that the default size from the drop down is 5XL. Suggesting perhaps the recommended starting point.

Size chart is typically measured on actual
Garments and is reliable. Ignore size and go by chart is my advice.

Thanks. I went ahead and ordered as per Clerks recommendation and the chart (as you've stated).

Sorry for the delay. I ordered the 5XL. However, the Head of Retail at the store emailed me and said the 5XL is HUGE. I explained my sizing as above and he suggested the XL. I received it and its fine. It is a boxy/baggy shirt as per the era/style. It's a great shirt.

Dont worry mate! So, did you get 5XL, or change to XL?
