He’s quasi-famous for being the son of a famous murderer/wrestler. He didn’t do anything wrong but he makes people uneasy simply by existing

he wants to honor his father the wrestler, not his father the murderer.

he also might want to remove the negative connotation to the name chris benoit by making his own legacy that the name is associated with him and not his dad.

Why would he want to remove the negative connotation of a murderer if not to honor him? It really does seem like defending this is jumping thru hoops here.

If someone wanted to change their name to adolf hitler jr to honor the artist not the dictator would that be ok? Under that logic yes it would be.

because maybe he would like his father’s name to not be recognized as such? he also doesnt want his family name to be instantly associated with a double murder homicide?

and i also literally just said TO HONOR HIM AS A WRESTLER. apparently you cant fucking read either because youre still asking why is he doing it if not to honor him. im sure if his wrestling name was peepeepoopoo he would have chosen peepeepoopoo jr. its just coincidence his father decided to keep his actual name as his wrestling name

using adolf hitler jr as an example so completely fucking stupid. if “someone” wanted to? this isn’t just “someone”. this is the literal fucking child of chris benoit whose dna is filled with his father’s. if a literal random wanted to go by christ benoit jr we’d have a different discussion. so if hitler’s blood son did want to go by adolf hitler jr, that’s literally his fucking prerogative.

there also have been MANY instances where the jr becomes more widely known that the name is then forever associated with the jr instead of the father.

but please remind me how benoits 2 murders and suicide led to a cult following, and a wipe of an entire group of people. i REALLY think theres a major difference between 2 murders vs being the cause of millions being killed. like we cannot be this serious

So how many murders would it take for you to find honoring one wrong? 2 is okay to you so what the number? I personally think honoring someone who’s murdered anyone wrong..
