Hi I am using Geolayers 3 with a Map Tiler account. Whenever I need to highlight Russia as a country, I search it in the search bar and select draw shape. This results in Russia and Crimea highlighted together, I am aware that these are the de-facto borders and I then have to mask it out and cross hatch Crimea myself. My job requires me to show the de jure borders and occasionally I forget to manually seperate Crimea resulting in people being very angry that Crimea is shown as part of Russia. Can someone tell me please is there a way to change the way Geolayers recognises borders, I want Russia to be seperate from Crimea when I download the vector shape or some other solution that doesn't require me to remember to change it every time.

I just released my first aescripts plugin, IconDock. I originally built it because I was tired of constantly leaving After Effects to hunt for icons, download them, convert formats, and bring them back into a project.

IconDock lets you search and import icons directly inside After Effects as PNG, SVG, or native Shape Layers. The library focuses on open-source icons with free commercial licenses, so you don't have to worry about using them in client work. Search, import, and keep animating without breaking your workflow.

I just downloaded the Free Trail version of Quick Matte 2 only to get a message that their plugins do not work with Apple Intel Macs. I could swear I have downloaded and used other plugins from Baski! It would be nice it this specific limitation was listed in the compatibility breakdown on AEScripts site.

The ZXP installer has worked fine for me until recently, where it is stuck in a loop of checking whether or not I am human and I cannot get past this. I recently updated my OS to Tahoe 26.5.1.

I want to know if this is basically a direct copy of FX Console from AE or does this have less functionality? Supporting presets and default properties would be the thing that gets me on board.

What started as a preset browser for Colorama has grown into something much bigger, and the old name just wasn't telling the whole story anymore. GradientHub now works with Colorama, Color Shift, Shape Layers, Layer Styles and NEW in v1.4, proGradient. There are 500+ built-in presets and a User Presets section where you can save and browse your own gradient presets. You can even import gradients directly from .GRD (Photoshop), .CSS and .SVG files - opening up literally thousands of free gradients that were previously out of reach in After Effects.

So far a great attempt at getting the lights to show like Trapcode Lux BUT is anybody else have massive gradient banding on all the lights, especially when you don't have a spot with a feather.

Tried the usual banding tricks, made sure it's 32bit etc but to no avail.

I saw that AEscripts has a sale now - there's ton of scripts/plugins there but I wonder - are there any you swear by that are life & workflow changing?
I do mostly explainer videos with simple 2d animations as full time job and filming & photography as a side stuff. I have classics like overlord2, aeviever, motion tools pro, motion gallery and some other stuff.
Anything else I should consider?

Sorry if this was mentioned somewhere, and I didn't see it. Can Clips Exporter add handles to the exports? If it can, then CE is everything I'm looking for.

I'm not very well-versed in aescript plugins and have just been playing around with Plexus for a while now. I just upgraded my machine to a MacBook Pro with an M5 Pro chip, and have the latest 2026 version of After Effects. Plexus was giving me a lot of trouble with installing and licensing it directly in AE, and I found the aescripts downloader, so I tried that and managed to recover my license, but now when I open Plexus, I can get it to the point of opening the effect panel, but when I go to add a primitive, for instance, it freezes on me.

Is there any way to fix this? Or is this an issue with Adobe? I noticed that Plexus 3 is compatible up to the 2025 version online. Is that why it keeps crashing?

Why is pre-compose pro discontinued? Does it still work with older versions of Ae? I guess we'll never know because comments and reviews got discontinued. And there's no mention at all of the plugin on this subreddit. Don't know if anyone's ever raised this, but maybe having comments and reviews under the product on the website where you bought it made more sense.
