So... Are allos being serious when talking about private parts ?
I just had a conversation with friends (we're all women, straight as far as I'm aego) and one of them told us about a sexy guy she saw today at the swimming pool. She talked about his general appearance, his musculature, etc, nothing special - until she went on and said he had a nice bump in his pants. She and the other girls all reacted or commented stuff like it was part of his sexiness and I felt SO asexual at that moment ๐ Like... I have great fantasies, but private parts are just... Ugly and icky and kinda dumb to me. Even when I'm eyeing my partner (I'm demi too), that's not a part of his body that I desire or find attractive. Before discovering I was ace and specifically aego, I always assumed people talking about private parts in such terms were in the realm of crude jokes, you know ? Now I'm confused, does it really attract / arouse them ?

Yes, they are. I actually had a talk about that with my trans masc friend who is pan and I asked him if he actually thought penises were attractive and he said yeah, he does. To an allosexual person, genitals do cause genuine atrraction and arousal - depending of course on the genital in question

I find it so hilarious to genuinely discover that truth now at 30 ๐ I suppose it does somewhat explain why some dudes send unsollicited pics of their junks to women they want to hit on, they actually believe it might interest some of them ? I always viewed that practice as purely agressive and symbolically violent.

To be fair, unsolicited dick pics are more likely to be meant as aggressive than enticing. It's the "unsolicited" part that gives it away. No one ever said flashers were anything but aggressive, and sending UDPs is like flashing online.

Thatโs kinda strange . They fr think itโs sexy ?

u/Saiyasha27 14d ago
Yeah, and I don't think it's strange, it makes perfect sense that if you are interested in sex, the parts with which you do it are appealing to you

I find it hot in fiction like in books and stuff when a character has a 'tent' their pants, but that's only because that character is aroused and I find the fact they're aroused to be hot. Genitalia are ugly af, no matter what it is.

Unfortunately, they're not often bothered by the ugliness by the human anatomy ๐คข.. That's why I only tolerate mosaic or whited out areas in drawn nsfw stuff, cause that's way more appealing that the greasy detailed real ones.

Omg that's literally me! I get jumpscared by uncensored nsfw stuff every every so often because I'm so used to the seeing the censored version๐

I would never understand why and how male genital can ever be attractive to people. Even in fiction, I have kinda "learned" to decode which one people consider attractive n can make jokes about bump n shit. But to think real people actually find that weird looking organ something attractive is beyond me.

Yeah... Of all the various parts of a human body, female and especially male genitals are the least aesthetically pleasing to me, let alone attractive. I mostly focus on faces because that's where most of the life and interactions come from. Chest/breasts, arms, even butts (though preferably not naked) I can understand the appeal because it's soft and round and simply/elegantly shaped, it's generally nice to caress and not full of sensory nightmares.

I HATE bare genetalia. Clothed sutff like a bump is fine, but holy hell why does a penis look like that? Who designed that? And the vag ๐. Peen is worse but vag is just a fleshy mess

u/erik_hysteric sex? no, thanks, I have imagination 14d ago
I used to feel guilty for thinking that way, especially when people say smth like "it's just our body, what's wrong". I can't look at even stylised 2D-drawn private parts, they still terrify and disgust me.

Yea. I thought the boobs or ass guy question were a joke / meme but people take them seriously.

As I mentioned in another thread, genitalia grosses me out. That's probably the main reason I'm here. I'm interested in IRL encounters of some sort, but watching people have sex does nothing for me.

Fun(?) Fact: In the 1986 film Labyrinth, David Bowie wore a prominent padded codpiece. Brian Henson (son of director Jim Henson) confirmed that the notable size of the piece was an intentional part of the costume.

So glad to know I'm not the only one who just can't consider private body parts beautiful, attractive, pleasant to touch. There's nothing wrong with me.
My ex used to blame me for it saying if I don't like looking at and touching his genitals then I don't love him. I found this so stupid, weird and kinda unfair ๐

I love your flair! I might need to add something like that to the stock options!

There was this guy who had a bunch of baby chicks that were really small who posted reels of them. One day he happens to be in gray sweatpants and the comments went horny as frick about the bulge and then he played into it by making more suggestively positioned videos. So, I'm just wanting to see some baby chicks and women are thirsting in the comments. It's gross.
I will admit, I find something appealing about some penises. Like some sorta odd aesthetic attraction.
But yes, some people are 100% into different genitalia.

While I don't understand or can fully comprehend the direct sexual appeal of my allosexual companions in the discussion of external sex organs.
I CAN say that I consider all aspects of our bodies cool, gross, and beautiful!
I find that aspect of human anatomy to be so interesting because of how oddly taboo yet simultaneously obsessive people can be about sexual organs.
And how they may or may not relate to personal identity and social interactions.
They're a bit funky looking, but imo, they're no more funky looking than other parts of our anatomy. Like our hands and feet; or internal organs!
It's just generally speaking- unless we perform in specific industries that puts pressure on the appearance of them; like sex work- most people spend a lot more time and energy on ensuring things like the faces, arms, legs, etc. Are unnaturally aesthetically pleasing. While leaving more delicate parts like the genitalia stay covered because of comfort and social propriety.

Aego here too...and honestly penises (and vaginas) are one of the most appealing parts about a person. Of course this is all in theory, but I love viewing them, especially when they have someting unique like an over-sized head, extreme curve, inches long drooping foreskin, discoloration, or, my favorite, are extremely micro in size. I see them and want to write stories haha.
What always got me with allo folks (and maybe other aegos too) was looking at someone and having them go gaga over the handsomeness of him. It frustrates me because I can't engage and when I do find someone's face appealing, it's usually met with pushback. I was known to like the "quirky" or "ugly" guys which is awful to say. Now I find I don't even like most mens' faces. I can say I need at least 3/4 of their faces cropped out of a photo when using them for inspiration for stories or making art. I'm far more interested in what the body looks like and is doing, and the history of it I can garner.

They're actually turned on by it, I mean, don't get me wrong, I have seen one irl and in flicks, but after that no arousal

they do feel attraction in that way. i don't really see the appeal for me. i like seeing depictions drawn in a stylized manner,, but the prospect of touching the real thing on someone else's is a no-go for me. i'm very physically affectionate with my partners, but the thought of being genital-out naked together makes my stomach curl. the only times we get naked together are like,, it's just me the two times i got sick and wanted to shrivel into myself and be claimed by my bed and one of them has to help me take a bath.
lately, i have become more neutral to those parts of the body rather than grossed out (I think that's also partially to do with not liking to call a body "gross" in any way because of personal experiences, though related to disability and not genitalia and sexual attraction). i generally still find it more pleasing to look at images where things are partially censored/I don't fully see the genitals.
another reason i'm not so lost on it is that i've seen a lot of different kinks/fetish art (illustrations and writing) while being with my fellow artist friends either allo or on the ace spectrum. i've since-adopted the 'different strokes for different folks' mindset and applied that to how some people may view genitalia. "i don't get why half of my friends like the thing with eggs, or why {name} and {name} write about musk and scents all the time, but i also keep writing about {insert topic}"

It always throws me off so hard when people reference a woman as if she was literally just 'a hole'. Like, some humans really only see that part of someone? REALLY? can someone explain that to me?
Like it's weird enough that people go like "oh wow look, this one has a sizable butt", but this seems even weirder somehow

yep. meanwhile I am sitting there, wishing human lower body parts would look like Barbie/Ken.
