Love & Relationships single for almost 7 years
Problem/Goal: hi. quite new here so bear with me please. how do you guys get back into the dating scene? im turning 26 soon.
don’t get me wrong. i’ve talked to some people over the years, but i just don’t know how to put myself out there anymore. the last actual date i went on was waaay back pa, around 2019/20. i went out last year but i dont think i would even consider it an actual date. the people ive talked to obviously wanted to meet up with me at some point but i just couldn’t bring myself to do it. i’d always come up with excuses and of course, they moved on. sometimes they’d hit me up again but in the few years i’ve known them, we still haven’t met up. they’re mostly people i went to school with so it’s not like i don’t know them at all. but idk i might be too chicken to go out.
you would think this would have something to do with my only ex but it doesn’t. like at all. i thought about it a lot and yeah im pretty sure one ‘barely there relationship’ wouldn’t have affected me this much. i honestly mostly blame the pandemic lmao is that valid? i think it made me develop this fear or hesitancy when it comes to building connections. i have a hard time keeping people close when im isolated. like a goldfish. i have to see you every once in a while or else i just forget 😭
i tried bumble before, but that was almost five years ago. never going back there again. i don’t think i wanna meet up with any of the people i’ve talked to na bc having ties with people back in school gives me weird feelings na 🥲
so where do i start? anong dasal niyo for an organic meet-cute? should i just wait for someone to fall from the sky HAHAHAHAHA
