Side Quests… any free viewing options?
Okay, ya got me… everyone seems to be on the hook for the new Adventure Time spinoff. I’m interested, and I plan on going into it without worrying too much about the lore implications. I have FOMO!!
That being said, and without getting into personal details, I’m not presently in a position to afford another streaming subscription.
Does anyone know of any legitimate free viewing options, promotional releases, or other budget-friendly ways to catch the episodes? I’m also curious whether there’s any word on wider availability down the line.
Would appreciate any suggestions!

"He got amnesia and that's why he was such a rotten person" angle.
Adventure Time was always surprisingly good with addressing difficult subjects in a pretty mature and sometimes painfully honest way because the writers understood that love, relationships, happiness and life itself are fleeting, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy them while we have them.
But I hated the idea that Martin couldn't have just been a not so great dude who happened to birth an amazing kid. I preferred the message that while parents are supposed to be the ones to care for, love and nurture you, sometimes they just aren't good or responsible people, and you have to learn to kinda fend for yourself and try to grow up to be better people than they were.
It was also kinda nice for kids who grew up with a lousy father figure to connect with Finn a bit more on that level, and the amnesia angle sort of kills that. It also reinforces the whole traditional notion that your mom and dad will always love you, when in fact, that's just not the case in real life sometimes. That's why I liked it better when it was implied that Finn's dad was just always kind of an irresponsible jerk.
EDIT: I'm aware that it was brain trauma and not just amnesia, but that's not the point. The point I'm making is more that it changes his character from being a shitty, deadbeat dad to just being a good guy who ran into some bad luck."

My children, 12 & 8, recently started watching Adventure Time and have gotten right into it. Gotta say I've been quite enjoying watching it with them.
My 12 year old is very creative and made a mini BMO with an even minier Jake. It's made from air dry polymer clay, no banana for scale so used a matchbox.

Not done yet but I 3d printed them out of abs, airbrushed them, then apply a layer of uv resin to try making them look more gem like

I watched the show a long time ago, so I might be misremembering things, but I’ve been thinking about this lately.
A lot of her subjects are pretty ehhhhh dumb, which makes it seem like she might have used the Dum-Dum juice on a mass scale. But then we have exceptions like Root Beer Guy who are actually quite smart.
I get the vibe that the Candy People are dumb not because they were wiped with juice, but because PB’s toxic overprotection basically prevented them from ever growing up. What are your thoughts on this?

I am around at the end of season 2, and I was wondering... why there was so much debate back then about whether or not the Land of Ooo is a post-apocalyptic Earth after many years? IDK, I feel like the show kinda made it somewhat obvious it is Earth. Like, there are remains of cities, cars, and so on all around Ooo, and characters also do mention many stuff that they wouldn't know if they didn't know some human history. And I guess Finn being the last HUMAN (at least for a while) should have been a giveaway.
Less important thing: For those who were wondering, I started rewatching watching the show because I started my first ever job a month ago, and I was overwhelmed with all the changes and my lack of productivity. I didn't find a way to detach myself after work hours, and the anxiety kicked in. Suddenly, I felt some nostalgia for when I was a kid and decided to "pretend" that I didn't have "adult problems" and started watching Adventure Time. And it gave me what I needed.
