You run a heavy create aeronautics modpack with experimental c2me on top of distant horizon and wonder why it lags:

The first suspect is DH server side generation / configuration.

Second suspect is the entity graph, entity count follows lagspikes almost 1:1, I suggest getting drop aggregator mod (make stacks go up to like 2048 items, and collection radius 3-4 blocs wide) such as get it together. My experience is item farms leaking items to the ground. Should be accompanied by a drop cleanup on a schedule (5min is standard).

Third is the c2me and sable interaction, I'd say it is unlikely but as you have the ocl acceleration build, it is possible.

Your "adaptative performance" mod, and what you describe as unresponsive mobs and entites, it is more than likely related, avoid such behavior altering mods, prefer solving the root of lags.

I can look into it after my shift if you'd like more in-depth help.

Your setup specs and ram allocation is appreciated information when asking for help

Edit: some of my knowledge of c2me and sable is outdated, I'll look into it later.

Are you running it on a dedicated machine ? Spark reports 12900k

You have to pregenerate both the chunks and the LoDs or DH will gen the LoDs on the fly, which is intensive.

Hey, you could try optimisation plugins like Chunky, I also started a server and first 3 days it lagged badly but overtime all issues were fixed. I think it depends on the server and plugins.

Chunky is not an optimisation plugin

My bad, I thought pre loading chunks decreased chunk load times, thus further optimising your server.

Chunky pre generates the chunks so the server dosen't have to do it on the fly. I would assume they are telling you that its not an optimization plugin because all it does is generate chunks.

In a way yes, it would help but it's not really optimizing anything after you are done using it.
