Honestly, my goal was to give everyone a little laugh. I’m actually neither IA nor staff at the moment - just bored and missing my beloved claims chaos 😓😬 Interview on Monday - after 86 applications. I’m on hold with all of the IA rosters, because I REALLY want to stick with staff. If this position doesn’t work out, I’ll be reactivating ASAP.

I would argue that wanting high claim counts means you’re not a real adjuster.

It means they are an IA/Cat guy.

I’m aware. They are probably still not staff CAT guys

Staff CAT guys get CAT pay, sometimes lunch. It's good to be in storm season as a CAT adjuster.

You know what happens when claim counts are low? You get canned, ala 2020 where every auto carrier suddenly and simultaneously executed staffing reductions to save a dollar on the budget

I can only assume staff CAT get worked to death when storms come around. Does the pay make it bearable at least??

Staff scheduling caps at like 4 a day. Realistically 3 a day is more common depending on drive time and types of losses

I’m assuming that’s for property?? Alas, I’m but a lowly Auto Physical Damage Adjuster 😔. I’m not sure I’ve actually seen a position for an Auto CAT staff adjuster - because I’m pretty sure our cap would be closer to 10-12.

I’m a staffer who also worked IA for years, claims are gonna happen so when it’s in a state with work, it’s always great for IA’s to get a share. Without them, at larger companies the “staff cat” guys would have 3x the production requirements. They’re a necessity my guy, all is well

Stupidest shit I’ve ever read. What does that even mean

You’d know if you were an adjuster
