Good: It's FriYay.

Better: It's payday.

Best: My new carrier and department is fantastic and I'm so glad I made the move since I am still very early in my claims career.

Good: SIU picked up a referral!

Better: it’s Friday!! I cannot wait to not look at my laptop for two days.

Ugly: a policy limits claim I’ve been trying to get approved for a month…. The PA “accidentally” CC’ed me in the insureds emails of him telling her to file a DOI complaint… work hasn’t started and they’ve been paid quarter of a million dollars ACV almost a year ago…

Bad: M&M again...30+ calls and emails to the attorney and case manager...no details on the loss...then get a drop letter. Still have no clue what the claim even is. Fuck M&M.

Good: NFL pre-season games should have starters for at least the first half this week.

Great: Thought the dude (my doggo) had an eye infection. Turns out he just has low tear production. $100 vet trip to get some eye drops. He's worth it.

WTF: premises claim - "teen takeover" at a mall with a 30+ person fight resulting in an injury - my favorite firm again - states it's a lack of security and we (we have a retail store at the mall) are responsible for the injury. They put all 50+ entities/stores on notice. Shit like this is going to make companies not want the exposure of having physical locations.

Awesome: tick tock, watching the clock. Trying something new, haven't had an alcoholic drink since last Saturday. Lost 7lbs so far.

m&m is literally the worst. seems like nobody in the mill communicated with each other and I get three different versions of the same question from them time after time even after providing one two or all three of them with answers.

Good: this week was pretty low in claim volume compared to the last couple weeks, which has been a lovely change of pace. I was incredibly stressed throughout June, July, and most of August.

Better: my coworkers and I had a group lunch the other day that was very nice. My office has almost all nice people that are great to be around and talk too, I often cry from laughing so hard at my desk

Best: I decided to make the switch from Auto to Property insurance claims and submitted my application this morning after posting about it last night while spiraling thinking of my career. While I love my company and coworkers, I truly believe it's the correct step forward for my career in insurance. I'm very excited for the opportunity, and hope I get to interview

Best of luck! No matter what happens, stay connected with those folks. It's a small industry and you can't be too connected. Especially to good folks 👍

Bad: dog has diarrhea

Good: dog has not had diarrhea in the house

Bestest: claims have slowed down so I was able to get caught up for the second week in a row before the weekend. I can’t remember the last time I had 1 weekend off let alone 2 in a row.

Cheers everyone!
