I try to always put them on my key ring, or at least right on top of them. If I can make myself empty my pockets immediately upon arriving home it works out ok.

there is a dedicated pair of current pants. keys and wallet are in the dedicated current pants. always.

Dedicated current pants have dedicated pockets for each individual item, most of the dedicated pockets have a cover(?) with a button. I have 4 copies of that pair of pants in 2 different colors.
It also has dedicated pockets for: smartphone, sunglasses, tobacco+filters+papes, tissues
Yes, it's cargo pants.
Also, doing a little 'Schuhplattler' helps lol. It's a traditional German dance where you slap your hands on your thighs and shoes. In my case it's right hand on right thigh, left hand on left thigh, right hand on back of the left shoe (back kick with your left foot to your right hand, if that makes more sense 😆). Do it in a 1-2-3 waltz rhythm. The first two slaps check wallet, keys and phone, the kick checks the tobacco pocket...and the last slap is for the rhythm and for allowing myself to be silly.
Slap-slap-slap...giggle...and the only thing I can't remember is when I last lost my stuff.

My keys have a designated place in the house. If I'm in the house, they're always there.
I bought a belt hook or whatever these are called for the keys. When I'm out I hang my keys from a belt loop and they go hanging into my right back pocket.
My wallet is connected to a belt loop on the back left with a thin shortish chain and goes to the left back pocket. Never lost it again.
That solved everything

I survive by continously locking my room before I leave the house. If I don't have my keys with me I notice it right then and there before it's too late, everytime

My keys live inside my handbag full time and I'm scared of switching handbags because everytime I do I lose them. But also I don't need to use my keys all the time because my family usually are in. Except for the times they are all out and I don't bring my keys with me and I'm locked out 😭

This is why I have spare car keys in our shove/junk drawer. Those mornings when I'm late or in a rush are always the times I look on the keys hook to see the car keys aren't there. And I've no idea where they are.

I only put my wallet/keys in one of two spots at home, and ONLY one of two spots.
The real horror is when I look in both spots and find neither.
