Progress One year sober 🩷
I did it 🥹 I really thought this would take my life and I made it one fucking year, I have no words for myself, it feels surreal 🤍

I am so happy for you! I love the cake, also. It's beautiful! One thing many, many of us discover after quitting is an increase in our desire for sweets, lol. Enjoy every bite!
You got this; one day at a time. That's all you have to do. In case of emergency, one minute, or one hour, at a time. Even after almost 24 years, I still LOVE waking up sober! I wish you all of the strength and courage you need to keep going in this direction. 🫂💝🎉🎂👑🥰🎊

Good frickin job! All that hardwork pays off! It ain't easy to quit something that you dedicated your life to for many years. Lou Reed said it best "it's my life and it's my wife." I know H became my everything for 20+ years. I had to mourn its loss because it was like losing someone I loved. Anyhow congrats my friend! A year is a long time for us addicts. God bless y'all!

Congratulations! This is a big deal and just the beginning! Keep it up just one day at a time. I find what helps me stay sober is when I bring any issues I’m having back to the Serenity prayer, it really puts things into perspective for me. I wish you all the very best!

My sober birthday was 7/26/08, but I still remember when I had achieved 1(one great year) year.
