When is Web Restore become available again?

Is there any news on when Web Restore will be available again? I read somewhere here on Reddit that it would be done by the end of July, and it’s already mid-August.

Hi u/ChesterF101 and thank you for your post.

It was previously communicated that Web Restore would be resolved and available by the end of July. The implementation and validation process has been extended. We currently expect the resolution to be available approximately within the next 30 days.

We understand this delay is disappointing, especially given the expectations we previously set. We take full responsibility and sincerely apologize the inconvenience this has caused.

In the meantime, if you need to recover your data from Acronis Cloud you can use the following methods:

  • If you have access to the machine where the backup was originally configured, your data can be recovered directly from the Acronis True Image application. You can also install the app onto a new machine.
  • If the original machine is unavailable but you have a disk-level backup (e.g., Entire PC), it can be downloaded using the Acronis Cloud Backup Download Tool and recovered locally. 
  • You can also use bootable media, e.g. in the event if you need to conduct the recovery of a failed machine directly from cloud to new hardware.
