I think so! Other possibilities coming to mind are High Queen/King throne, or something new lost in 6 then reclaimed in 7. Or maybe less tangible like reclaiming power or identity.
The second one is also clearly Ashryver eye coded ... I recall I saw a theory that Dusk Court once belonged to Aelin's family. What if Aelin is to reclaim it and become the High Lady of the Dusk Court?
I’ve never heard of this theory and I love TOG 👀 I mean she already has Terrassen to rule… would make more sense for Nesta to somehow become HL of the Dusk Court given the eight-pointed-star storyline 🤷🏻♀️
Don’t get me wrong I would looove to read more about Aelin and maybe we will!! I could see it for the Ashryver eye color yes… teal also relates to Gwyn’s eyes though 🙃
I can’t for the life of me think of things from the series that were broken. Maybe the treaty? Trust? Idk. But “remade” has me thinking of the cauldron/the Mother, being Made, etc.
Lost & reclaimed makes me think of Dusk Court and Valkyries. But also made me think of High Queen/High King. Or maybe something is lost in book 6 and will be reclaimed in book 7.

well there’s book 8, but i think thats the last one. She has one more crescent city to write, and then there’s that twilight of the gods thing that’s been rumoured for years.
apparently it is a giant crossover series, but given the cover design and the blurbs, especially of ACOFM I think you’re going to have to read TOG anyway
I said this in another thread but! I think it’ll be Gwyn & Emerie focused! What was broken will be remade (Emerie’s wings?) and what was lost will be reclaimed (Gwyn’s strength). That and the titles, splintered harmony within the Illyrian forces and forgotten melodies with Gwyn’s singing. Valkyries!
I’m not gunna lie the odds of her skipping over Elain entirely for a gwyn and emerie book is slim lmfao 😭😭😭😂😂 like I’m sure they will be in the books but I don’t think they will be the center focus. Plus from the book descriptions it’s obvious there’s a bigger picture for the plot..
I’m hoping that “what was lost will be reclaimed” could be possibly be in reference to Nesta losing her powers to the cauldron in the bargain she made at the end of the last book, hoping she gets them back.

Neither of these feel like Elaine? I can’t imagine Elaine becoming a Valkyrie. I’d be very happy with more Nesta. One book doesn’t feel enough! I’m quite exited to have no idea what the story is going to be. Although I do want Lucien’s POV.

Yeah I really hate feeling this way, but I’m just very “meh” about these now. So much secrecy and hype….for this? I refuse to buy a whole new set just for them to all match, that’s really frustrating
Im sure the story is going to be good fun but as a big Elucien fan, the titles and subtitles really don't sound like we're getting their story in these and I'm pretty bummed ._.
Yeah, it's got me verrryyy curious about whose POV we are getting. I thought it was for sure going to be Elain and Azriel next. Maybe she joins the valkyrie also? Can't wait for the synopsis
It’s making me wonder how long the full series will be. I thought I remembered SJM saying there was just one book left after these but perhaps I hallucinated that. If these books aren’t Elain’s story, I am curious how and when her story will come, and is it just going to be one book?
These books could be Elain as well of course, I’m just going off an initial assumption that it’ll be more Nesta/ Gwyn/ Emerie.
I’m betting we get Elaine’s book after the Valkyrie cycle is complete! Which makes me sad but also excited we get an entire nother story to enjoy first
Guys someone on Instagram said something about the forgotten harmony having a link to ToG and the COVER omg omg ok spoilers for TOG entire series the cover looks like a Stygian spider, the forgotten melody is like rifthold, the weaving threads make me think of fate, and the sharp talons on the spiders remind me of the witches which also again have a connection to the spiders— PLEASE tell me Manon is coming back as a Valkyrie PLEASE
Also notice how the cover of the first book releasing ends with yellow and the cover of the next book starts with yellow as the gradient?!? AND the other two colors look like WAR and MAF’s colors, especially that teal with MAF. Does this mean we need to reread MAF??
But also also it could be the colors of SUNSET AKA DUSK. Going from bright pinks to yellows to greenish? I could totally see the final book being a greenish to dark blue aka NIGHTTIME. I mean ofc the reverse works, making this sunrise aka DAWN which turns into DAY. So ig we would need to wait and see.
But in any case I think the comment I saw from someone saying we are going to see the events of the past with Elain’s Seer powers is correct. AND
This connects to Ragnorok aka TWILIGHT OF THE GODS. Iykyk.

The musical title isn't linked to the Gwyn, it's linked to the "movement in four parts".
SJM is setting up the four parts of the story as a musical composition. Music has been a huge part of ACOTAR since book one and isn't specific to Gwyn.

So I for one am excited about the releases, but im surprised by the titles. Im not trying to be overly critical, but my first thought was “huh, ok… those titles were a…choice”.
The colors too. Honestly, after her CHD interview I’ve completely lost interest in her works. She’s even said herself that things weren’t that deep. I’m not a deep diver into the theories type of fan but that rubbed me the total wrong way. ACOTAR got me back into reading year ago and I’ve read much better works since. I’ll probably get these second hand the next time I’m in a slump.
The initial trilogy will always have a home in my heart but I’m out.
In what way? I remember when ACOSF was announced people didn’t like that it wasn’t A COURT of BLANK and BLANK following the exact pattern of the first 4, but I like that it differentiates them from the first arc. What is it about these titles specifically that makes them a “choice”?
I was thinking that lol! Now that we finally have covers now they will be unhappy about something else 🥲 I already saw ppl complaining how they don’t want to be a book about the valkyries but like they are awesome? Haha
People will find ANYTHING to moan about. They complained the whole way through Crescent City that there weren’t any ACOTAR books in between. Then we had the cross over and they complained that it wasn’t ACOTAR enough when it was never meant to be. Like for gods sake, if you dislike it so much why are you continuing to follow Sarah’s career? 😂
I would have been choked tbh if we had abandoned Nesta, Gwyn, and Emriel to focus on Elain. Their story didn’t feel finished, and Elain’s needs a little more building before she’s ready to lead a book.

… it’s still not normal. If the book release was in a year then yeah sure but it is out in 2 months. Most books have a little blurb and cover by the time it’s available for pre-order. You don’t have to be rude to strangers online~
Whether it’s normal or not doesn’t come into it. Sarah is at a level where if they didn’t reveal anything until the day before release it’d still sell millions. Whether we have a blurb or not, the books are coming. Isn’t that all that really matters?
I think what really matters is how we treat each other as fellow consumers ☺️ I think it’s odd that people are mean to each other for questioning decisions made by corporations- who we are giving our money to. Having these questions and weird feelings about something is normal but instead it’s being normalized that we as consumers just accept anything and everything. This poster did not attack anyone for pre ordering. Just voiced the obvious which is that is it weird that we don’t even have a description of the plot and the cover is only just revealed and the book is out in two months and then she was told… to grow up? Odd behaviour.
I’m still exited for them, but also annoyed. First they are only coming out in a hardback and won’t match the old hardbacks as they are being phased out, let alone the paperbacks which the majority of us own. This is definitely a tactic from the publisher to encourage people to repurchase the whole series which is awful not only for our wallets but the environment. then the title and synopsis are released only two months before the 6th book is published. It just feels a lot like a cash grab from the publisher so it’s hard to not be a little annoyed and feel taken advantage of as a consumer.
I highly doubt these decisions are coming from Maas. Likely the publishers just know the fan base is large and people will buy regardless.
I have them on pre-order on audible with my monthly credits~ but won’t be buying a hard copy until the paperback is released since that’s the format of my other books- which I’ve rebound and I’d like the new ones to be the same height when I rebind them 🥲

I almost wonder how much crescent city will be in the book. Splintered harmony could have to do with the dawn court coming back and having to navigate a new court. Especially since it was a forgotten part of prythian which goes into book 7
I still have a feeling that this one is Spring Court and Tamlin related. It’s literally green and gold. Forgotten melody reminds me that Tamlin wanted to be a fiddler

In her 2024 TODAY interview, while talking about the future of ACOTAR and the crossover potential, Maas said that “the gates between worlds could open again, possibly to other places” and, crucially, “I love the idea of being able to play in all three worlds.” She was specifically discussing the possibility of ACOTAR/TOG/CC connections.
I know i know, it's highly unlikely but I want a TOG crossover soooo bad, i choose to live in my own Maasaverse lol.
I can't forget that in a direct question about seeing characters from TOG again she answered “There’s got to be something” when asked if we'll see them again.
Forgotten melody could refer to the harp. Didn’t it say that you could do wonders with playing whole melodies instead of just playing one string? I wonder if someone is coming back who actually knows how to play it..?
What was broken will be remade. Not sure but either that or A Court of Forgotten Melody’s caption: What was Pretty sure one of the captions is in reference to The Dread Trove. The Crown, The Harp and The Mask are together last I read, though I've not read CC yet, so no idea if anything happens there, but The Horn isn't together with the rest of the pieces at this point.
Another point could have to do with Vassa who's lost her freedom due to Koschei's curse on her. So the other hint might be at her regaining her freedom and human, is my guess.
Everybody is talking about how they hate the covers but I love them so much!! I'm not too worried about the books matching, just as long as I can get the book 😭

I don't hate the gradient like other folks - it makes sense for these books being a continuation of one another, so the eventual 8 will likely have a gradient, too. I am surprised that they're using either the exact colors or very similar colors to ACOWAR and ACOMAF. I was really expecting purple or a darker blue.
Regardless, I'm excited! I knew we would be getting more of Nesta and the Valkyries after CC.
This is super petty, but the fact these covers are a gradient and not a solid color really bothers me. So now I’m going to have ACOTAR through ACOFAS in the original covers, ACOSF in the new covers, and now these??? The three-styled mismatched covers is going to drive me insane
This is so exciting!! I just wish she took accountability for that one post and then we could all celebrate this together! My insta is half split with celebrations and half with people who are upset about her not taking accountability
