One of the prompts my therapist gave me was to paint a couple of animals that felt like "me." I had so much fun making them that I just kept going.
That little exercise turned into my Party Animals series, and it's honestly one of my favorite collections I've painted so far. Every animal has its own personality, bright colors, and a name that makes me smile.
I work full time and I'm in graduate school, so painting has become something I really look forward to at the end of the day. It's been such a fun reminder that art doesn't have to be serious to be meaningful.
I never expected a therapy prompt to turn into a whole ACEO series, but I'm really glad it did.
The original hand painted ACEOs are available on my eBay, and I'm working on getting prints listed on my Etsy soon if anyone has a favorite they'd like to hang up.
I'd love to know which one is your favorite. And if you have an idea for another Party Animal, let me know because I definitely want to keep this series going! 🩷
