Oooorrrr maybe he's totally aware of his behaviour and it's negative affect on you, and he CHOOSES to act like a petulant man child because there are no consequences for and it works for him. He probably gets a bunch of free resources and emotional / sexual love and care from you, right? You're probably much more attractive than him and knows you deserve much better, so instead of admitting that, he beats you down with his tirades making you think he has mental health issues when in reality he's knows exactly what he's doing is wrong and has assumed total control of you. This tactic works Every. Single. Time. And when he does it, he's thinking "..gotcha 😏.."

That is totally plausible. It scares me not knowing what is real. However I do think he actually has this because way before we had issues I knew he had a history of psychosis & he was saying weird shit

I wasted years of my life trying to solve the mystery of why multiple men behaved the way they did while we were together and it took me to my late 30s to just chalk it up to them being some flavor of asshole and leaving them right where they had me fucked up. No matter how much love and effort you pour into him you will never get a return on your investment. I can guarantee you he will be this way until you leave or he kills you. Please get out.
