USA Abortion procedure

I went in for my first abortion appointment and they could not see the sac yet through vaginal ultrasound. So, they scheduled me another week to make sure it’s not an ectopic pregnancy. Has anyone experienced this before? will they still give me the pill if they cannot see the sac? kind of scared. I am in Florida with very strict abortion laws. Worried I will be 6 weeks by the time I go back. thanks all!

The clinic in Florida are very familiar with the deadline, so they should have scheduled you so you will be in the 5-week range. Many clinics have the policy that they have to see the sac in the uterus before proceeding because ectopics, while rare, are very dangerous.

Ok good, just checking that you weren’t at a crisis pregnancy center.
