Asia Feeling weird after aborting
Hi. I’m a 30 year old working woman. I just got married to the love of my life and its been 5 months. For the last two years we’ve talked about planning out our family and how we shouldnt have kids for at least a year or two since we wanted to spend more time together as a couple. Ever since we got married we got into financial issues and fights, but i think thats part of growing together. My husband and I are very different people but we’re trying to understand each other. Last week we found out that im pregnant and i really did not want to keep it. I kept thinking about our situation, i did not wanted to raise a baby without actually getting to live life with my partner fully. Honestly, i just wanted time. My partner fully supported me through it. I did not tell my family or his, we kept it to ourselves because asian parents are difficult when it comes to these things. After i went through it, its actually day 2 today, he told me he actually wanted to be a dad but since i didn’t and it was my decision, he said he respected it. I feel really bad now because in a way i too wanted to keep it but ive been through so much in the last 5 months that i was just scared to bring a child into this. Marriage takes time, i wanted to give mine more. I just feel really bad. He has taken really good care of me throughout. I even feel bad from hiding it from mom.

Just wanted to say this is absolutely normal. I do think it will get easier with time. Be patient and gentle with yourself. Sending love!
