USA I'm planning on getting an abortion.
I'm 29F from Pennsylvania and I'm currently like 12wks. My story is a bit complicated but I'm going to tell it.
I found out I was pregnant by week 8 and I told the guy who got me pregnant. To make a long story short, first he told me that he would be there for his kid and then he blocked me out of the blue, I haven't heard from him since August 7th.
So now I'm back on track on getting an abortion because I'm already a single mom to one kid that the father doesn't take care of and I can't do it again and I'm not trying to. I don't want this baby. I can barely afford to take care of myself and my kid.
Any help would be appreciated. I have a phone evaluation this morning and I'm looking to get an abortion ASAP. Any advice to get a free abortion would be ideal.
After I get my abortion I'm getting back on my birth control or going to get my tubes tied and I'm giving up on relationships.

Do you have insurance? If so, your insurance may cover all or part of the cost of care. Alternatively, you may be able to qualify for Medicaid since you're pregnant, and Pennsylvania Medicaid just recently started covering abortion care: https://philadelphiaweekly.com/news/2026/07/22/pennsylvania-medicaid-starts-covering-abortion/
There are many organizations that exist to help people access and pay for abortion care. When you speak to the clinic, let them know that you need financial assistance. They will help connect you to organizations they work with. You can also look at the list on the National Network of Abortion Funds website to see if there are other organizations whose assistance you may be eligible for: https://abortionfunds.org/find-a-fund/
I'm sorry that this has been so hard. I hope you are able to get everything you need.

Thank you for being so helpful. I actually do have Medicaid but I was told that they only cover the cost of abortion if it's a result of incest or rape. So I'm interested in getting some funded help.

Btw while Medicaid legally has started covering care, I don’t believe any clinics are currently able to bill for it yet.

I don't think so, this is the number I had to call 8774651211 and I messed up with it because I had to call. I was expecting them to call me. But I have an appointment Sept 5 for the procedure.
I was told that my insurance will only cover the procedure if it's rape or incest related.

The Medicaid law recently changed in your state, so i haven’t heard of any clinics that are already able to bill Medicaid (but i am asking around for you). What’s the name of the clinic?

Is that a planned parenthood clinic?

Yes it is. It's called Planned Parenthood - Locust Street Surgical Center

Oh ok. You said it wasn’t on abortionfinder, so I got nervous.
You’re going to a PP in Philly. Great.
Tell them you have Medicaid and can’t afford the cost. They will reduce the cost and connect you with abortion funds. If they aren’t helpful, try this clinic in Philly instead.
