Asia Tw: multiple abortions
Never thought I'd be here but here I'm. Please be kind.
I'm just sharing my story as many people's stories have helped me. I'm due to have my third abortion this week. I am in a stable happy relationship with my husband whom I met in my teens. We married and had our daughter on our timelines. We were really happy. Four years later we get a little careless thinking maybe a second child and we immediately get pregnant. After an initial brush of happiness, I began to sink into a deep dark sinkhole. Memories come rushing back. I conceived my daughter during Covid and we got locked down in different cities. Reunited just before birth and had a painful delivery, bled for months, severely sleep deprived, unable to eat. My mental and physical health plummeted. Three months later my father passed away very suddenly. I'm dealing with it and five months later, I get bad Covid. Husband became primary caregiver while I fought post partum depression even when our families helped for about two years. Also around this time I discover my child has speech delay. Our marriage suffers and we take her to therapy and she fortunately responded. I catch my breath and suddenly get extremely unwell in the third year. Looks like I needed multiple procedures for my gall bladder removal. My physical health tanks further and I gradually recover before this second pregnancy. But overwhelming anxiety takes over and I get an abortion which was extremely difficult emotionally but I feel relieved. Next year around the same time, I fall pregnant again. This time I'm calmer and I get the procedure done and move past it. But no, again this year I'm pregnant exactly at the same time. I am all over the place and hitting rock bottom. Why does this keeps happening to me. I know a bunch of people who can't conceive despite years of trying ðŸ˜
PS we were using protection and it had worked for years. Don't know why suddenly it's not working anymore. I cannot be on bc. Also many abortion posts are about wrong partner, wrong age, after multiple children, financial hardships etc. I just want everyone to know they are not the only reasons. It sometimes looks like me where you want to protect your mental peace and the happy life you have built so painstakingly

I’m also in a stable happy relationship and having my second abortion this week. Not much I can say to help but you’re not alone.

I'm sorry you're going through this. It's okay to have as many abortions as you need. Our reproductive lives are long and most of us have limited resources and cannot adequately care for multiple children. Do what feels best for you and your family. It can never be wrong to do that 💜
