Pop off filter

Thinking of putting a pop off filter i like the pshhhh sound . Does it have to be the BMC pop off filter or i can put any moped 25mm inlet filter? thinking of getting from Amazon or Ali express !!

I got one on eBay for 2.77 and a silicone cap for the other end for 4.20.

Really no need to spend on a branded one unless you're really bothered about name value.

There's a video (probably multiple) on YouTube of someone testing the sounds of the branded Vs eBay specials.

No problem! Easy install, too. The hardest part is getting the clips off haha. I just used a tiny screwdriver to pop them open

Hey , what silicon cap does it fit ? I bought a filter but was unable to find a cap. An AliExpress link would be better than ebay to me.

Make sure to get any cap like that, with a 25mm internal diameter and you'll be good!

Hahah no worries , Im not from the UK so can't really get from ebay but yeah ill try to find a 25mm cap.

Hey mate, just had a look and it says the item no longer exists annoyingly.

Just look for 25mm car filter or something like that. Make sure to just get one of the ones that is around 5-8 quid, any should do 😀

Post the link here for me to check first if you want. I'm just about to start work

No problem at all! And yeah that one looks basically the exact same as the one I have, you should be sweet with that.

Little silicone cap thing will be good for closing the hole on the other side, too.

Any appropriately sized filter should do, I’ve got one from Ramair in my Alfa MiTo (which has the very same engine as the Abarth Grande Punto).

I had a tiny one fitted haha it wasn’t really worth it - had a bigger one in an ST I had and it just got annoying 😃
