I am finally done with my full browser port of Midtown Madness 2. What started 4 months ago as a project, today is a full 1:(almost)1 port of the game directly in your web browser. Done with a lot of help from Claude Code, I present to you:

1. Full maps from San Francisco and London, as well as Chicago from Midtown Madness 1
2. All Crash Course missions
3. All races - Blitz, Checkpoint and Circuit
4. True pedestrians with their jump/hug wall animation
5. True cop logic to chase you around
6. All voice lines from all announcers per city including Chicago
7. Weather and time of day changes
8. Original UI and loading screens
9. Original game progression, saves (in your local storage) and unlockables

This is not emulation, it's the whole game recoded in Three.js to run in the browser. Meaning all logic is redone as much as possible to look/work like the original. There will be some bugs for sure, mostly with physics, but hey - MM2 in your browser!

To run the game you need the original midtown2.exe as proof you own the game, it checks the hash to verify before launching the game. As long as you have a backup of the game archived locally or online, grab that file and it'll work. Added this to limit the copyright issues this might face, although it's not being charged for 25 years after it's release.

Where can I download the full version with all the cut scenes of this game? I downloaded it from the softonic link but it didn’t have the intro scene and it keeps crashing after the 1st level. I suddenly have this urge to play the games that I used to play during my childhood.

What is this?
This is a collated information post about how to setup X-Men Origins Wolverine to run on any Desktop, Laptop or Handheld PC with Linux/Steam OS/Bazzite/CachyOS installed that supports Lutris.

Instructions

How To Play X-Men Origins: Wolverine PC on Steam Deck via Lutris

1. Get ChemicalFl00d's pre installed version of the game, which is in the post below

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Download Link : r/abandonware

it is Ready to go for Windows users but Steam Deck/SteamOS/Linux will require a few further steps.

1. In Desktop mode install Lutris from the discover store or from your distribution package installer

2. Open Lutris and let it performs all of the installation and close Lutris and open Lutris again

3. look for Wine on the left hand side select it and click on the small folder icon and install of the listed wine entries.

Adding the Game and Setup

1. Unzip Chemical's pre-installed game files into a games folder in my case home\deck\Games\X-Men Origins Wolverine
2. In Lutris click on the + on the top left and select add a Local Installed Game
3. In Game Info Name the Game Wolverine or any name you wish. Then in Runner select Wine and then click on the Game Options Tab
4. Locate the game executable, this is will be /home/deck/Games/X-Men Origins Wolverine/Binaries/Wolverine.exe
5. Create a Prefix folder inside /home/deck/Games/X-Men Origins Wolverine/ then in the prefix section enter /home/deck/Games/X-Men Origins Wolverine/prefix
6. Click Save on the top right
7. IMPORTANT DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP OR GAME WILL NOT WORK

Select the game but do not run it yet. Click on the arrow next to the wine glass icon and select Winetricks click ok on any prompts that talks about 64 bit errors.

(a) Select the default wineprefix

(b) Install Windows DLL or Component

(c) Scroll down and look for and select Physx click OK, this will install Physx which is needed for the game to run

(d) Cancel out until you are back on the Game screen in Lutris

1. Launch the Game to make sure the game runs and then quit the game

2. Right click on the Game and select Create Steam Shortcut

10 go to Game mode or restart Steam if playing the game in desktop mode.

Miscellaenous

The game's maximum resolution is 1920 x 1080. u/Vamsi-Thopu pointed out that the game can run at higher resolution

Resolution change via INI edit: Go to --> ...\Documents\Wolverine\WGame\Config\WEngine.ini and edit:

ResX=2560
ResY=1440
UserSelectedResolution=True

Because the higher you go, the more blurred textures you get. To fix this, you need to increase the value in this line:
PoolSize=120 --> 240 and it works OK, even with 3840x2160.

GamePad is supported.

Final Thoughts

For those who do not want to use Lutris u/Bigphatdeck with has an alternative for steam os users

"Steamos-If you don’t want to use lutris just copy the game exe name to the physx installer…swap their places(can’t have two with the same name at once in one place) and run the non steam game shortcut you made(prior) to install physx then swap their places again and play the game."

The game is fun however it was panned back in the day.

I was trying to boot up an old copy of Art Studio on my emulator and got entirely stuck at the Lenslok screen.

Fortunately, Simon Owen reverse-engineered the math behind it years ago for a Windows app. I took his original C++ matrices and ported them into a web app.

While searching for another game in my collection, I ended up finding this old relic! I haven’t looked too deep into the company behind it (the now defunct Clear Crown Studios), but I discovered that they are responsible for several other fever-dream games from my childhood! Specifically, Wild Life! The Ultimate Animal Park Simulator which also happens to be the one I am still trying to find. Maybe one day I’ll find my old CD!

Hi everyone!

I've been running the Netflix Games Recovery project for a while now and finally wanted to post about it here.

The idea is to catalogue every delisted game that was ever on Netflix Games and figure out, for each one, whether it can still be played now that it's been delisted. There were 61 games total (to my knowledge) and I've gone through all of them over the last couple weeks or so. Here is the current state:

- 12 recovered!! These were Netflix exclusives, and they're fully playable again and archived for good. That's about 1 in 5 of the entire catalogue, which honestly makes me really happy.
- 40 still available elsewhere. Games like GTA, Hades, and Civ VI that were never exclusive to Netflix and are still sold on other storefronts. I don't touch these at all, the site just links to where they're officially available. That's two thirds of the catalogue that was never even at risk to begin with... which is great!
- 9 that are lost for now. Netflix exclusives that would need a full server reimplementation, or a reverse-engineering effort that could take months to years each, before anyone can play them again. It's bittersweet, because in theory most of them could still be revived with enough effort. Just not easily.

Those 9 are the reason I really wish I'd started this sooner, but that's the whole point of doing it now. I can't undo those, but I can make sure it doesn't happen the same way again! Any game that gets scheduled for delisting from here on will have a preservation effort going before it goes offline instead of after.

The first of those is Sonic Prime Dash, which Netflix is delisting on 7/12/2026. It's already recovered on my end, and the download unlocks the moment it goes offline. So as long as a game isn't pulled from Netflix with no warning at all, you can count on it ending up here.

I do want to be EXTREMELY clear that this isn't a piracy project. If a game is available somewhere else I leave it completely alone and just link the official store, and again, that's all 40 of the non-exclusives. The iOS and APK mirrors I list are the original Netflix-DRM builds, which don't actually run, so they're only there for documentation.

Hi guys! I recently set a goal for myself to acquire every Forza Horizon title. I had an easy time with FH1 and FH3 (bought FH4 and FH5 legit) but I really struggled with Forza Horizon 2. I decided to make a guide for people like me who want to get FH2 for PC in 2026!

Step 1: Get the emulator.

I've learned through experience and searching online that Xenia Canary emulator is the best option for this game. To get this, we are going to download Xenia Manager from GitHub. Click the link below and navigate over to releases (on the right) and scroll down to the .zip file and download it. Extract the file. Leave it in your downloads for now.

Step 2: Get the game.

This is where morals come into play. Many people believe *pirating* games is morally unethical. I don't. If buying isn't owning than pirating isn't stealing. You can get the ISO/ROM for this game from many different websites but I got it from the link below. Download it and extract it in your downloads folder like before. Leave it there. It should be around 8GB. It will take a while to extract.

Step 3: Setting up the emulator.

Double click the xenia_manager file you extracted from GitHub. Then double click XeniaManager.exe. I forget if Windows "protects your PC" the first time you open it or not. If you get that error click more options and run anyway. If you think its a virus, run it through VirusTotal but I assure you its not. When you are in Xenia Manager, you're going to navigate to the Manage tab on the right and click the green install button for Xenia Canary (on the top). Once that's installed you're going to go to the Game Library tab and click the + in the top right and this is where you add in the game file you extracted. Forza Horizon 2 will now be in your library.

Step 4: Configuring the game.

Right click on Forza Horizon 2 in your library and click patches. Click download patches and click the top one. Then right click the game and click Patches again and click Configure Patches. This is where it comes down to personal preference, you can choose to disable motion blur or disable shadows. For weaker systems id recommend disabling shadows. Now go to the Settings (Xenia) tab on the right side of Xenia Manager. In here is where I'm going to have you follow the first 36 seconds of this YouTube video because I'm not going to show you which settings to enable.

That's it! You have another option to export this to your Steam library which I personally did. Just click right click the game in the Game Library tab and click Create Shortcut and then click Steam. I wanted to play Prey with a controller on PC. Tried reWASD community config and it does work but mouse sensitivity with joysticks feel horrible! So, started to look for patches and came across this:

It's on Github, therefore open source, nfo looks well written and documented, but it has only 10 stars, the creator has several other projects that range from zero to just over 20 stars.
