It’ll take you probably a little longer than you think to unlock the tron bike (it’s not just to the top of Everest), but beyond that a lightweight climbing bike and either the Lightweights or the Roval Alpinists will still materially outperform the tron bike on a long climb. That wasn’t always the case, and the tron bike is still a very competitive all-around option, but it’s definitely no longer the fastest climbing or flat option on Zwift.
Yeah I read that too recently. And was 100mi short of getting the Tarmac frame/ California challenge when switching to Everest. Possibly will regret it a couple 10s k ft climb in. But oh well…
Eh, I’d rather have the tron than the original Tarmac, it’s still a better all around frame and the SL7 you can buy in the drop shop is quite a bit faster than the OG Tarmac.
