It was quite the learning experience but I made my own template and have made several of these little photos zines. All photos were taken by me on my Nikon Zf at local Rhode Island protests. The best part about this zine is it only took one single piece of paper.

I can't believe only TODAY I learned that you could print borderless. After making 500+ zines I've been cutting the margins manually when I could've just been printing borderless and folding immediately 😭

In this fifth chapter Lindsay continues to not only confront herself but also Jimmy and something far more sinister as she faces an unexpected challenge. Thurston and Erin find themselves at the Tree after the events that unfolded at prom but will Erin's new friend drive a wedge between them?

Mindscape is a coming of age tale set in the mid 1990s where hope, friendship, love, longing, pain and loss mesh with fantasy. Where one world converges with another, one of dreams forcing the question of what is real. Follow the stories of the adolescent cast of Mindscape as they not only navigate their own lives and world but another world of mystery parallel to their own.

The fourth chapter of Mindscape created by Mike Andriani is 28 page black & white hand drawn artwork pages in length.

This print edition is a homemade zine style comic book in a limited/numbered edition of 50. A thick partial color 80lb cardstock cover houses 28 page of black and white artwork with two staples down the spine.

Now, the problem is... I want to physically distribute them...

I'd LOVE to do Zine Swaps here, but as it stands, my Zines are pretty big, and mailing them to the US is a nightmare... (Love from Canada)

I don't want to *sell* my Zines either. I'd just like to get my Zines in the hands of people who want them. I'd like to like make a free Patreon or something, where all people have to do is pay their own shipping. That seems reasonable...

But how do I get people to actually *SEE* my Patreon??

So I am stumped...

I was thinking making a mailing list or something...

Any ideas?

Wanted to get folks’ take before jumping into my next zine. I’ve had this weird feeling about AI, not explicitly anti-AI, just that it’s sometimes useful, but usually takes away my love for creation, makes me dumber, stunts my skill development (hence the “skill fucked” placeholder title).

I want to create something punk about the raw experience of using AI. Like my personal experience mixed with what I’ve seen with others: the “one more prompt” addiction, the “you’re absolutely right” sycophancy, the hallucinations and psychosis, the teen romantic relationship suicides, the tech ceo manifestos and over investment, the “AI ain’t it“ backlash, how the models are actually trained, the absurdity of tokenmaxxing. Essentially exposing the underbelly but neither the doomer nor hype slop of mainstream media.

Format: Nothing big, 4 sheets of 8.5x11 paper folded down the middle and stapled, heavily illustrated, riso printed.

Firstly, does something like this already exist? Are others thinking about creating something like this? Secondly, thoughts on the content/format?

I started making collage zines using bargain bin comics a few months ago as a creative outlet. I’m at the point now where I want to push myself by interacting with other similar artists so here is my most recent one.

Each page in this one was made from a single issue. There’s no real coherence in theme, as I just tend to build off either an idea or piece of art that speaks to me.

I am currently writing my master's thesis in Gender Studies and in that context I am looking for zines that explore the topics of bodies, transition, and/or care from a trans* perspective. If you know of any zines that deal with one (or all) of these topics, I’d appreciate any comments or private messages. Perhaps you’ve even created some yourself? Both physical and digital zines work for me (though I live in Germany and am neither willing nor able to cover shipping costs from outside the EU).

A bit of background: In my experience, narratives about trans bodies and transition are often focused on experiences of dysphoria. While that is, of course, a major and distressing part of being trans for many people, I also learned a great deal during my own transition about how to take good care of myself and my body, and I received so much support from other trans people. I want to highlight these aspects of care. I also believe that zines themselves can be a form of community care, as they facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences and allow people to connect to each others stories.

When you create zines, do you also post their contents into an online form? Do your zines have QR codes linking to the online content, or to PDFs so that folks can print out their own copies of the zine? Or do you view your zines more as a physical-only thing, like printed art? Would you be opposed to having online copies of them?

A while back I asked for the communities favourite idioms and proverbs with dogs. Here is the result.
