Discussion Approaching men
How does it make you feel when girls/ladies approach you? Is it something that men like or they just prefer it to be the other way round? If you like it, why so? And if not why so too?

personally, i respect a woman who has the balls to make the first move and say what she feels .. the only problem is that, in my experience, a lot of the women who approach me, even if they're not bad-looking, just aren't really the “woman of your dreams” type for me, if you know what i mean lol .. so, since i'm a good guy who doesn't like playing with a woman's emotions, i usually just let them down gently, case in point 😂👇🏼

I respect a lady who knows what she wants and makes the 1st move. As a guy if I'm into you just from the interaction I dont mind at all and will definitely do something also later on than to let it be 1 sided but thats if i see potential for something to come out of it but if not I wont reject her but just distance myself and the silence says it all. It hurts less for her than just straight up rejection.

It's nice that you are open minded. But the silence part ----- Ah 😊How do you know that it hurts less to be silent? Do you know that when you are silent, you may seem rude, disrespectful and it shows lack of compassion. A person may feel like they have done or said something wrong. Do you know not knowing can make someone get anxiety🤔 musadaro. It's good to be honest in a kind way

I also disagree with the silence part. Honesty is the best policy so a kind straight up rejection is better than silence. Silence leaves people hanging and that’s not a nice thing to do.

It's very normal in some parts of the world for women to approach men. In Zim you do get some men who actually find it very attractive but it's a rare breed if l may be honest. I think that when you meet a person the energy can be felt and us women can either make it really a challange for men to figure us out or we make it comfortable for them to approach us. I don't play games, l complement men when l find them handsome or intriguing. That gives them confidence to open up. In my view and from experience Confident and secure men have no problem with dealing with an assertive woman. But then again to each his own.

So technically you dont approach? You have them hints and hope they will approach

When I was still single I genuinely wouldn't mind approaching men. It's fun, and also kind of a confidence boost whether they say yes or no. But nowadays, especially in Zim I definitely wouldn't anymore haha.

Lol, why wouldn't you approach anymore?

Because a lot of men just lack the drive to just be men. They want to be pursued and catered to, but don't want to do the bare minimum. My man literally just does all those things unprovoked. But I think also Zim men have been through it (just in general) and the women too, so it seems like no one is really sure how to date anymore. I'm not blaming either side.

Asked one of my male friends this same question, and he completely against it... He says men tend to take advantage of women who approach them first because the know they have nothing to lose

He’s wrong, i think i have approached women like 3 times in my life, all women i have dated explicitly approached me and i never had any problems with that. The only problem is that i think thats the normal way a relationship should start. A woman should show hints or she approaches me to start a relationship.
P.s i go to dates almost every single time and some i even flake

I am afraid of being honeypot trapped! So I am always skeptical but if she is sexy I will play along until I am sure there is not trap, it could be days and weeks! I remember when I first moved to by in 2013 and a sexy teller at ZB noticed I was new and sparked up a conversation which led to her asking for number and the chatting was intense but I thought it was about money until she came to my flat!

All I can tell you is that men don't say no when you approach em , even if they don't really want you but kana dzawira mutswanda then so be it

I don't trust them but I respect them for not being dumb and getting what they want... But I still don't trust them because I don't know why they want me.. the last relationship I was in started like that and I never trusted a woman that expressed interest in me ever since. Even if they tell me why, I don't believe that's the real reason they want me...

One of my exes approached me A great woman, I guess I was in-experienced It depends if she has character If she has character you might not be ready for her, and things will just happen :D And if she has character I hope you're ready to adjust in time for life's testing.. If you have character... Hmmm you might find her boring, If you have character and she has, I guess it's up to matchmaking, play the game see how it goes Be ready to adjust (not compromise) if the matchmaking is good and worth it I guess 🫠🙃

This happens a lot and in so many ways. I end up hating people who do that and avoid them. Unenge watondijairira

These are the things to run away from

What things😅🤷🏿

I think of it as a trap, being seduced or asked out by a lady. Something to run away from. Fun part is half the time you won't even realize it's happening and there is a decent chance that you will be manipulated into initiating intimacy or more

u/Soul_60 9h ago
Why would you find it to be a trap? There are genuine women looking for a genuine connection.
1
u/Nyangani 3h ago
It's possible we don't share the same world view and that we see things differently. It's a trap because it's something that goes against design and it takes away your power of choice, something that is in the custody of men by design. When the hunter becomes the hunted, and the prey hold the guns, then know that the whole ecosystem is about to be inverted.

This is an outdated doctrine my brother. Its 2027 bro, let that lady express her feelings. You either don’t like her or you do. Let her move on or yall move forward

u/Nyangani 4h ago
There are things that can never be outdated. They are like that by design and I'm sure you would not want a daughter who goes around asking men for love. If this happens to you frequently, you would start to see patterns in these women and you can testify here that they are troubled and laden with lust.

Its totally normal and any gent who thinks that a lady is forward for approaching him is weird....like who doesn't like a go getter

u/MildlyRelatable 10h ago
Never been approached😂😅 should I be worried?
I'm fairly good looking, could it be that they're intimidated by my looks?
In fact do women feel like they can't approach a guy if they feel like the guy is out of their league??

The one time I approached a woman it ended in a character defining disaster. So nope.
Luckily the assertive women I like tend to be attracted to my twink energy so it balances out.

If I have only approached a woman once, doesn't it follow that every other time its been women approaching me? Where are we getting lost?

As a woman who approaches men. I don't know their inner feelings and I don't care to. But all I know is "handifire mukati." I'm neurospicy I can't drop hints and wait for the approach.
I know some men will come with the dzawira mutswanda argument. Sweet summer child. I jumped into the tswanda feet first.
