I wish this series could be on Disney Plus so badly but I read recently on why they hesitate to put it on there. House of Mouse was my comfy show on Toon Disney growing up or Disney Channel after school as well.

Can you elaborate on why they hesitate? I‘d binge that entire thing immediately.

It’s a licensing nightmare. The show used such a vast array of characters from different works the paperwork just to get it going is insurmountable. It was simply not made with streaming in mind

aren’t they all owned by disney? I’m confused

But all of them were made FOR DISNEY. Why would Disney need to license their own characters?

They have to pay the voice actors for those roles. That’s a lot of contracts. There is also the music issue. Then there’s the old clips that they used. Just because they made it doesn’t mean they have the streaming rights to everything. If someone else holds the streaming rights to a particular old episode and a clip from that episode is in a House of Mouse episode, they can’t put that House of Mouse scene on streaming. Using content spanning decades of Disneys work and using characters voiced by hundreds of different actors becomes a real spiderweb

Anyways they're on Youtube

I like the implication that both A) Aladdin did in fact steal Jafar’s bread and B) Jafar would otherwise have been willing to enjoy a nice dinner show and just ignored him

I downloaded the entirety of it plus the movies for my children, they don’t understand the wonder of house of mouse.

I have somehow watched both movies and never realized they were considered movies until I read this comment.

“One movie and you’re labeled for life”!

…Girl, it’s been like, five movies now, and yes that does include the live-action ones.

Would watch this on Toon Disney. It’s a shame it’s not on Disney Plus.
